Oooh! It 'fell' in did it Christine?

A new puzzle eh? what was it of?

AS for my husband's theory that we can do better....the man is MAD

Hi Joan - we have rain here I hope you don't for the dogs' sake. How is Sue getting on?

Ah Barbara - the other cats will be looking after each other :) My husband ought to know what a formidable opponent he has in me ;) We women always win!!!

    n030.gif

I think Christine ought to get out of the hot-tub now :?

    Love to everyone

Yes Toni. I think someone must have knocked it off the shelf. The new puzzle is a Wasgij. The picture is of carol singers in a street. I've only got a bit done so don't know what has happened yet. The puzzle is a 'what happened next' of the picture on the box. I hope you don't miss out on your bungalow by hanging around then. Oops, think I fell asleep in the hot tub last night. look like a prune now. Thanks for waking me up.

Glad you managed to take the dogs out. It'll be good for you to get out despite the drizzle. I did have a good wander round so hopefully I've worked off the cake. Still got some left so will have to go for a walk today too.

Was thinking of going up to my son's today but they've gone out for a walk in the countryside. I used to go with them but there's no room in the car now. Gives me the opportunity to get some things done in the house. My daughter is talking about trying to come over for a visit in the summer. Not sure they'll manage it as there are 4 of them paying full price on flights. She mentioned maybe meeting halfway but I don't think any of her husband's family will go and I know my family won't so that leaves me. Not sure I can afford it after going to them a few months ago.

Got another letter yesterday for my hip surgeon..they let you see the team has they call it..then if needed they refer you to the surgeon again ..the same one..but they changed the appointment to the end of the month..now its back to Friday... he just want a yes or a know...its not the op but the recovery and all the not being able to sit on certain seats..so cafe are out  ..and the stockings..and sleeping on my back for 6 weeks..see I am trying to talk myself out of it..

Just a short post today, to tell you that my lovely doctor has rung to say my next prescription for patches will be for one month. She is pleased that I'm only needing to use Oramorph at bed time, and that I can toddle around the house without my stick. :valentine:

Hope yours are working for you Joan.

Barbara, I've never had a car but if I did, the colour would be the most important thing. There is a lot to consider with the op but it will probably be best in the long run. There doesn't seem to be too much mess here, just twigs everywhere but I was wishing last night that Henry would shut up. The noise he was making was really getting on my nerves. Just realised it's quiet at the moment.

Kath, that is good news. It'll be much easier, I hope, without your stick.

Joan, I'm not in a great deal of pain but I know you're right about getting used to it.

Toni, maybe that's the way to go, to convince Paul that the shed and summer house are his.

I'm watching Supervet and had to wait a few minutes before posting as I couldn't see. My eyes were all watery. It is so emotional. My daughter is moving house right now. They are doing it all themselves so I hope it is going smoothly. Don't know what's happening here. Everything I type is underlined with a red squiggly line. Love the new smileys.

    Hi All

Barbara I am exhausted! We have parents' evening at the Academy tomorrow then hopefully life will return to normal (as ever it is ;) ). MRI is done results on 16th at clinic with Dr Tim. Her arm was very sore on the way home, but I had my neck and shoulder click-heat ready for on the way home :)

I LOVE Stuffed cabbage leaves Kath so will have some of those and also some of the baked red cabbage. :) Thanks Emily!!

Hi Joan :) I get that wiggly line with a lot of Lucy's meds too I think my laptop has never heard of them. Are you swimming this week?

Hi Christine :) Did you see the picture of 'Henry' making a waterfall go upwards?? It was amazing! Tia my stepdaughter LOVES supervet. I watch it for her in-case it's too sad and she records it till I tell her it's safe.

Love to everyone and to our missing friends :?

    Hello everyone.

Joan, well done on not having to take any pain killer. I still take one Oramorph at bed time, and paracetamol every four hours through the day.

Toni, Emily and I are glad you enjoy the food. Good luck for 16th when you get Lucy's results.

Barbara, I'm sorry you can't get any food down. Is that because of your sinus'? :raining-love:

Although I still get some back pain, my hip hurts. :balloon:

I managed to get the respite centre for a look around last night and it was lovely. Things are now on a roll. I'm invited to a 50th birthday in Feb but my D. has kindly offered to babysit so Dan can stay at home on his beloved laptop and Lucy adores her big sisters.

Trouble is I've been so unwell and knocking back the painkillers I'm close to Over doing them and feeling so iffy at times. Its a choice between pain (and no sleep) or being out of it!

Toni guess Hubby just wats to be sure and you never know he might get to appreciate the bungalow more when he sees other places. I thought it was lovely (I meant character not characture in my previous post)

Had no idea you were a Southern girl Toni.

Jacks had a few uni offers and OH has taken him to visit one tonight. OH has been marvellous this past few weeks- at last he seems to realise the way to a woman's heart :balloon:

Any way love to you all and sorry to be so vague atm.

Joan, the red line I had was under everything I wrote. Seems ok today though. How did your hearing test go?

Kath, my mouth waters reading your menus. There's nothing worse than back and hip pain. Hope it eases for you.

Barbara, it's been very mild here too. Almost warm this afternoon. I'm trying to cut down on sugar but finding it quite difficult. I'm trying to buy smaller portions of things rather than do without altogether. I hope they find out what's wrong with Niamh. It's very worrying when we feel something isn't right with the little ones.

Toni, I'm not surprised you are exhausted with everything going on. Hope the parents evening went well tonight. Yes I did see the waterfall in reverse. Looked very strange. I might have to wait till you've vetted (sorry  ) Supervet before I watch it so I know how many boxes of tissues I'll need.

Elizabeth, you must feel more relaxed about the respite centre now you've seen it. Bet you are looking forward to the 50th birthday. It is a difficult choice sometimes between pain and painkillers. Hope Jack finds a good uni. Glad you're enjoying having a wonderful OH, even if it has taken a while.

My daughter got moved but it seems things were rather hectic. It took 3 van loads with a 2 hour round trip each time. My daughter got a phone call that day about a job interview and had another interview the day after they moved. Her OH ran the van in to the fence at the old house and knocked it down so my daughter ended up putting it back up on her own. Then the house inspector turned up to check the house they were leaving just as my daughter was cleaning it. She agreed to come back later. Apparently, out there, houses are inspected (rented or bought) just as people move out. They have to be in immaculate condition or the people moving out can be charged for cleaning or repairs. And the house sale almost fell through twice that day. Haven't spoken to my daughter yet so not sure what that was about.

    Afternoon all
Had my appointment with my hip man, and he has put me on the list..he is always reluctant because of my back in case the pain is coming form there, he showed me the latest MRI of my back and in 3 years it has really deteriorated, in fact its bent to the left..did I tell you that the sinus clinic put me on itraconazole.for a fungal infection in my sinuses, so if that works by the time they send for me then..off we go ...feel quite down now I know my back is that bad..the man that is going to do the op on my back never said how bad it was..
Never mind will get there :balloon:
Joan sorry your back is painful..hopefully if you rest it it will ease..but dont put any pressure on it..especially carrying things
Elizabeth glad you have got to see the respite care place..it will put your mind at rest..now you enjoy the party..and good luck to Jack with the uni choices
Christine your poor daughter ..but so glad to hear they have moved in now..typical that he knocked the fence down when you are so stressed..blimey having to clean the house all through..or else...more stress for them..bet she couldn't believe it was happening till they got the keys.. hope she likes her job..you must be so proud of her..we will know about about Niamh when she has he appointment..
Right I am off to get a cuppa these appointments take it out of me...

Barbara, so sorry to hear your back is worse than before. Did they say how long you will have to wait until your hip op?

Joan, you sound like my mum was. Always busy with something. Knitting was one of her favourites, and mine. But I haven't been able to knit since my RA diagnosis in 1987. :(

Elizabeth, I'm glad you had a successful visit to the respite centre. :valentine:  :balloon:

We had a parent meeting today so had Dan all day and didn't get my usual sleep but got him to the shoe shop as we ere able to park in the disabled bay close by.

We had hoped to have the respite sorted ages ago, especially as we had confirmation of funding in September but we now have a date for a first visit, not all night but an introduction from 4-6.

Applerose is this your Australian family that are moving already? Have they bought a place or renting again?

Barbara sorry your back has worsened but hoping the hip op will help ease some of the pain.

No I don't like standing either Joan. I sometimes sit down to hoover :D

I love Supervet and I didn't realise as I was flicking through channels that it was a new series.

My D. has been reading the news on her local radio show and been contacted by a 'mainstream' show and they liked her audition tape so hoping this leads to bigger things? And other D. has also got some promising leads on her book writing so at last its all coming to fruition!

So of now to listen to the football and some music (Dan is upstairs)
