Sorry Mig I didn't mean to miss you out about the funeral. Anniversary of my Dad's death so a bit sore.
Also lost a friend same day as your SIL. It was motor neurone disease and she passed away in a hospice as she was too ill to be at home.
I also know what you mean about a funeral with smiles and good memories. My Mum's was like that and I remember it so well whereas my Dad's was a sombre affair and I have very little recollection.

Joan - I have plenty of time unless someone else buys one I want!!!
I hope your day has been good. I have some not so good news about Lucy's shoulder will post on the thread.

whoops I didn't even realise it wasn't a bungalow! Its very similar to my OH parents house and they live mostly downstairs and I always think of it as a bungalow.
One thing-I could only see 3 bedrooms pictured.Never be bullied into silence.

The main bedroom is downstairs so ideal. If Lucy has her hip operation she can sleep down there there's a shower down there too
I think they call it a dormer bungalow when one or more bedroom is upstairs

Just popping in quickly as it's bed time.
Happy birthday for yesterday Kath. Hope you had a good day. I'm going to work my way through the gluten free menu. Sounds rather tasty.
Toni, I posted on your thread. Keep strong. I think t's a good idea to look at as many houses as possible and, as others have said, you'll know when you find the right one.
Joan, good to hear that Sue's leg is doing well. Hope it's not bothering her.
It does feel sad around the anniversaries of lost loved ones Elizabeth. Hopefully, you were thinking of good times too. Good to hear you had some time to yourself.
Barbara, I hope you are right about spring being on it's way. I'm getting fed up with the wind and rain. Hope you find a magnifier for your jewellery making.
I did get to donate blood. The sun was out and had melted the snow by the time I had to go. Only 2 more to go till I get my 50th donation badge. Hopefully, I'll manage it this year. It was my son's birthday today. His wife had to work and my GS wanted to spend the day with his friend so I took my son, eldest and youngest GDs out for lunch then we needed to go to B*Q. My son's bath had a crack in it so he had to buy a new one. Haven't heard from him tonight so hoping he managed to fit it.Christine0 -
Morning all..its foggy here...so we might get the sun later :balloon:
Toni its worth a goo to keep going back to property's..sorry the ones today wont much good, it will come together..

If you are B+ I will be in your debt massively
50 pints is amazing!

I've downloaded a free PDF about managing pain, from the pain concern website.
http://painconcern.org.uk/resources/managing-pain/
I'm finding it very helpful, so thought some of you might find it interesting reading.
Hi, Thanks for finding and posting this, we really should have somewhere to post links to useful, reputable websites based in the UK. I've enjoyed having a read, reminding myself of the good ideas I had forgotten
Take care

Oh Barbara! That's typical! Hobbycraft has great stuff and I think the lights are near the tapestry stuff there because that's where I got mine. Magnifier too
Nothing wrong with being impatient - gets stuff done
Carpets are finally all down and it looks GREAT!!
Joan - thank you I am having an easier day today. Just steadily moving stuff back where it came from and hopefully binning some of it tooI hope your day has been a good one
Kath - that looks a good resource. I went on one of A/C's managing your long-term condition courses a few years ago and still use some of the techniques.
Love to everyone

Hi everyone,
Just popping in to say hello. This week was my first week back to working normal hours. Have just posted my adventures on lwa and thought I'd pop in here too.
I think I'll make myself useful and clear up any leftovers from that stunning menu. I seem to have become very fishy since I became arthritic. I always quite liked fish but the last six months or so I just seem to home in on the fish choice if we're out. My body must be wanting it.
Me and OH went out last weekend for a Valentine's day meal - soppy, I know-
it was a really lovely meal and I had the curried parsnip soup and the sea bass with spinach and new potatoes, so not only lovely but fairly healthy.
I've done a little itsy bit of housework today and now I only have to make the tea so not too heavy a day.
How's the jewellery making coming along Barbara? I used to do a bit of that a number of years ago and a friend who had a shop at that time used to sell some for me. I used to get quite a kick out of someone buying something I'd made. What I like doing now is glass painting. I buy a nice piece of glass, a bowl or a vase or some such, and use glass paints to decorate it.
To be honest, I'm only just getting back into it again as I hardly touched any of it last year when all this Vasculitis and RA kicked off. One of the things I like about doing it is that it really focusses the mind on that one thing and you can forget about all the other issues going on in your life (for a short while at least).
Well time's passing so I'd better start focussing on food for tonight's meal!.
love to everyone

Just me calling in at bedtime again. I've been talking to my daughter so a bit late. Picked up my new varifocals today and they are taking a bit of getting used to. Ok one second then blurry the next. I've been told to move my head rather than my eyes up and down. I'll catch up tomorrow when I have more time. Night night everyone.Christine0

Evening all. I hope everyone is doing ok. Xxxx0

Hello coco!
I am fine thank you very much - hope you and yours are too?
Slomo I don't eat meat, but eat fish a fair bit now myself - usually 'oily' fish if I can. I think it's good for everyone
So you managed the full week and even a tiny bit of house workWell done. I think getting back to the glass painting is a really good idea
Christine varifocals eh? I haven't even tried bifocals, but really think they ought to be a good idea. Save me wandering round with specs on my head!!! Hope your daughter and family are ok?
Ordered some 'overshoes' from Wickes to protect this new carpet it's so 'neutral it's in danger!!

I love noodles and would eat them with anything same with rice and pasta ,will eat any of them with fish meat or veg.
Hobby craft was one of my favourite shops I loved tapestry cross stitch knitting and crochet ,I had got about a third of an american civil war cross stitch done ,I brought it when we visited Bull Run battle field (also known as Manasas)I just can't hold the fine needles so if anyone knows where I could get it finished please let me know,I can still do plain knitting on large needles and can crochet with a large hook but all I make are squares,I HATE WHAT ARTHRITIS HAS DONE TO ME and I consider myself one of the lucky ones as Ive only had it 7years and I'm nearly 69. Sorry just needed to get that out.
Overcast here and not as cold as it has been.
It me a little while to get used to varifocals then one day I suddenly realised I wasn't struggling anymore.
Big pot of chilli on the go bit hot so watch out.
Take care all. Mig0 -
Morning all

Mig I am the same so grateful I got to my late 50s before arthur came along..I have a little friend with JIA ..its just not fair ..your tapestry sound amazing...I haven't done that since school...now chilli is my favorite half rice and half chips...
Slomo I will go and have a look at your other post..how lovely to go out for a valentines meal..I didnt get one flower..never mind I know he loves me...the glass painting sound nice..I have seen it on the tv ..has for the jewellery I am enjoying it..think they will be presents for birthday and such..I can imagine the buzz from selling it..
you have a nice restful weekend you deserve it
Today I am going to buy a magnifier from HC..thanks to Toni...
I have a big worry that when I have my hip replaced they will damaged my back more ...he did say he was aware of it but I think I would like some sort of brace on..they do throw you about..would hate to come round and my back has gone...
Hoipe everyone doing ok...xxxxxxLove
