Hello everyone, and Barbara - how lovely to see you back. :D

We've had Emily and Alex over. We got them each a fairy house. They were very excited. When they send me photos of them in situ, I'll post them so you can see how they look. Emily cut our hair for us, and Alex did my toenails. Strange Easter gifts, but very welcome.

I've stopped taking the pain killers and gone back to paracetamol. At least they don't make me feel sick.

    Hope you're having a good Easter. ostern(50).gif

Toni, I love my pond area. It's raised up so makes it easier to take care of some of it but more difficult to get to the back as it's in a corner. I don't have any fish but planted it up with pond plants. They've all gone now apart from the irises. There are quite a lot of different plants. Maybe you could make a new frog house? Hope you and your friend had a good chat and Tia has a good weekend (even if you know nothing about it. )

Barbara, I'm glad you're not in much pain. I can lie on my back for a short while but can't get to sleep. It's too uncomfortable. Hope you can manage it. Have your eggs arrived? The baby won't understand but you be careful.

Joan, did you and Sue get any Easter eggs? What about the dogs?

Kath, I think getting your hair and nails done is a good idea if you're not in to chocolate eggs. Hope the paracetamol is enough for you pain. I think you do need a break from feeling sick. Looking forward to seeing the fairy houses.

It's been grey here all day with the wind howling round and threatening to rain. It's only just started but coming down heavily and it's very dark now. I got a message from a friend yesterday saying she'd found some details of a friend we lost contact with when we left school. I used that to do some searching and I think I've found a girl who lives in the town we used to who has our friend on her family tree. Just need to find her address or sign up to Genes Reunited to send a message.

    Easter Greetings to all :)

Good to see you Barbara, sending hugs to you and Kath, (and everyone else too). Keeping on top of pain is a constant battle, at the best of times, let alone after surgery or a flare up. Apparently Paracetamol is not effective in treating arthritic pain, now they mention it. Well, it's a good job I can mix it with Codeine, Pregabalin, Amytrip, Tramadol and Prozac
No wonder I forget things !! I am glad to see I am not alone, lol.

The little fairy houses sound great, looking forward to seeing the pictures Kath. Hair and nails are better than chocolate. Did I really say that :o

I hope everyone has a good Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday. Take lots of care, one and all. I will leave a huge M & S New York Cheesecake in the fridge, one of my weakness'

    Easter Sunday :D

Oooh Bubbles! New York cheesecake! YES please :)

    c085.gif

    Mmmmmmmm!

You have a good bank hol weekend yourself :)

Yes I think another frog house might be in order Christine. Paul is after a ride on mower!! ::) men eh? Mind you Lucy wants a go on it!

Does your pond need a lot of care?

Have decided Tia might not be away. We had a good chat via text last night and the reception there isn't it good so...?? Maybe bf is there ;)

I hope you do manage to locate the friend :)

Talking of friends I visited two of mine including the one with the bre*st reconstruction. She insisted I see it and it's fabulous! In 6 months time when she's recovered she'll have the other one lifted, (I know someway to compensate for what the cancer did), and the 'new' one will get a tattooed n*pple!

    I really think it's helped her self-esteem :)

    Kath
    - you poor thing - you've had enough of feeling sick to last a life-time ((())).

Your Easter presents sound perfect for you and that's all that matters.

    t6320.gif

Joan I hope you also have a good Easter Sunday/weekend. I forgot the clocks gone back even though I knew!!! Not a problem but odd to be 'up' this late. Instead of 6.45 it was 7.45!!

Barbara I am in a lot of pain if I sleep on my back too. How long will you have to do that for?

Lucy has been referred to the Royal orthopaedic in Birmingham. I will google your hospital.

    http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-34117074.html

This is the Bungalow. Don't worry you don't have to use the steps the back door is to the right hand side and the dining room is up a slope to the left :) Oh and it's not all painted red neither are all the floors red!!

I hope poor baby Niamh isn't too disappointed to be unable to climb on your lap bless her.

    Extra love to you too!!

    Love

Hello Barbara it is so lovely to see you back and I'm glad it is all done and dusted. I had to sleep on my back with the pillow between the legs after my hip replacement. they didn't want me on the side as you can dislocate. I think its good to sleep and then get up to get the circulation moving although I'm sure you are worn out.

Dan is a little more settled now. I think it was a shock for him as its been about 5 years since I left him with a baby sitter (he spent the whole time in the bathroom).

The buffet is now off again  (which suits me as that leaves more money for his present) but we are all going out on the Friday daytime instead of just us 5. The restaurant is lovely and out in the sticks with a adjacent airfield so we get to watch the light planes take off and land.

I enjoyed watching the football last night. I even watched it again on plus one.

We are big fans of New York cheesecake here Bubbles.
I take lots of paracetemol for headaches and ear aches and it works well but co-codamine for arthritic pain. But I have to be careful not to over do it.

Naughty Tia for not telling you where she is Toni. But you have an inkling....
I love red and would love some red walls. Next month Dan is away for a school trip (yes another 4 days)and I plan to paint his bedroom or our bedroom (and sleep in his). It must be done as both rooms are looking shabby and we can leave one empty and sleep in the other. Methinks I'm going to be worn out.

Applerose I love ponds but ours was filled in years ago.But it has left a dip in the garden. I'd love a water feature and really should treat myself.

    Hoping Kath is better.
It is pouring down and very cold here. How is it your way Joan?

Must sign off now as Dan is on the move

    Love to our absent friends..

    Take care all

Bubbles, I read that paracetamol doesn't help arthritic pain but it does take the edge off mine, especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. Cheesecake sounds good.

Toni, a sit-on lawnmower sounds like fun. My pond doesn't take a lot of looking after. At the moment, there is a lot of green weed stuff in it. I tried to get it out but nothing holds it. It just slips out. In the summer when it gets really hot, it has been known to dry up completely. Just as well I don't have fish. The irises don't seem to mind. The area around the pond takes more looking after as I need to keep pulling weeds out. They can work wonders now with reconstruction, can't they? Even all the details.

Barbara, that's no good not being able to sleep. Hope they tell you it's ok to sleep on your good side. I remember you telling us you were filling in your pond. You might be able to get it back once the baby is old enough.

Elizabeth, I'm glad Dan is a bit more settled. it might take a few stays for him to get used to it. No buffet is easier for you too. The day trip out should be good with the meal and watching the planes. I'm thinking about having a fountain in my pond but am worried because it does sometimes dry up.

It was sunny this morning so I went out for a walk. Don't think my legs or feet liked it and my knees threatened to give way but I enjoyed it. Popped round to my sister's house to find they had all decorated their faces with easter egg pictures, even the baby. While I was there, there was quite a downpour of hailstones. We've had 2 more this afternoon and some thunder. Now trying to find a film to watch from the ones I have recorded. So far deleted 4 after half an hour.

Mig, you had chocolate left over? Don't think I've had left over chocolate since I was a teenager. There's no need to mention everyone. It can lead to a very long post and I'm sure I get mixed up sometimes trying to remember it all.

Joan, I'd find it impossible sleeping on my back for a few weeks never mind a few months. Hope you've had a good Easter weekend.

Barbara, my dad is fine although he seems a bit fed up that he's not allowed to go out by himself. At the same time whenever I suggest we go out for a while he says he's quite happy staying in. He and his lady friend got told off for canoodling in the corridor. I think my dad is finding her a bit too overbearing now so doesn't see her so much. I can just picture your GD with her face painted. They love that, doesn't they? Hope you do manage to get out for a bit although with this awful weather, I'm quite happy staying in.

I mentioned earlier that my friend and I thought we were on the right track to find a friend we lost contact with after school. Well I think I've found an address. I sent a link to it to my friend only I actually sent it to Tesco. I got a message from them saying they didn't think it was for them. I had been talking to them about not being able to get my usual bread so must have clicked on the wrong thing.

I expect here's good reason for having to sleep on your back and if it's fear of dislocation even I would do it

Joan - you lost a post too? What are we all like.

I woke up to a covering of snow, but luckily the rain then the sun then the rain have seen if off.

Barbara. The Bungalow itself isn't that pretty, but inside it's really perfect :)

Bless your OH spoiling you - of course he deserves another hour for doing that :)

Elizabeth I am very pleased to hear Oh doesn't want a buffet (again) now. A meal out is far more civilised and looking at the planes even nicer :)

What is he getting for his present then?

I like my patches for the exact reason you said - I can take paracetamol for headaches etc

I thought the same as Christine mig - you have 'some cholcolate left' :?

I am glad to hear ponds virtualy look after themselves Christine - phew! I suppose the green stuff is some sort of algae.

What fun everyone decorating their faces with easter egg paintings :) I bet the little one loved it.

We're always doing that too, recording stuff and then deleting it because it was rubbish!

Paul has been over to see his Mum in the hospital - she's still stuck there

Imagine your Dad getting told off for canoodling!! If he does find her a bit much I hope the staff help him have a rest from her.

    Love

Toni, snow? I guess it's not the first time it's snowed at this time of year but we don't want it, do we? Thank goodness for the rain and sun. Yes, the green pond stuff is algae. I guess there shouldn't be so much of it but at least I don't have fish to worry about. Don't think it bothers the frogs though. Sorry I can't remember why your OH's mum is in hospital? Was it because she needs help put in place at home? Hope she can get home soon. It's easy enough for my dad to stay away from his friend. He's upstairs and she's downstairs.

Kath, I love the fairy house, especially all the ladybirds. Looking forward to seeing Alex's house.

I actually remembered to defrost and cook some chicken for my lunch at work tomorrow. Also tried making herby sausage rolls. They turned out not too bad but the gluten free pastry didn't like being rolled up and cracked quite a lot. And got another module done on my course.

Alex's fairy house is smaller than Emily's, but very cute. She has stood it next to the planter where she grows tomatoes, so that when the tomatoes fall off, the fairies can eat them. :D

Well, apart from the fact that Emily and Alex came to see us on Saturday, we had a really awful Easter weekend. My prescription should have arrived on Thursday, but it didn't. Friday was Good Friday, so they were closed. They don't deliver on Saturdays, and they were closed on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. And I'd run out of Oramorph. I was crying with pain most of the weekend. It arrived today though, so hopfully things might improve.  :?

    Hello everyone :)

Welcome to the café from me to Sam :)

Sorry I didn't get on yesterday - it was chemo. I have posted on the 'frogmorton' thread and Barbara you are right only one more IV chemo to go for Lucy!!!

I think you are wise to be safe if you walk outside for now definitely and am very pleased to hear you are sleeping better. On your back??

Hi Joan - I hope all is well with you and Sue and you are having some of the sunshine we are here :)

Oooh mig a balcony cabin! I am sure it will be worth the extra money :) Hope the babysitting goes well too :?

Oh Kath you poor thing :( I am so sorry you were without pain relief all weekend ((())) I hope you are th right side of pain now.

I love those fairy houses :) I want one! I will put it near my tomatoes so the fairies can eat them :) Adorable!

Paul's Mum is on dialysis Christine and keeps getting infections, chest, pneumonia etc. She is in her 80's now and no chance of a transplant of course. She actually went in with abdominal pain!

I hope Elizabeth is ok :?

Love to all our missing friends.

Hi Sam. I sometimes use ibuprofen when I need a bit more than paracetamol.

Joan, I did get a bit wet on the way to work yesterday but soon dried off. Another one with left over chocolate. I used to keep chocolate for a long time when I was a teenager but haven't since.

Kath, what a sweet little house. I'm sure the fairies will appreciate the tomatoes. You poor thing being in pain all weekend. They should realise how important prescriptions are for people. Hope things have improved now.

Mig, hope you have a lovely time with your GC. A balcony cabin? Sounds wonderful. Fingers crossed your kidney problem has been sorted by then.

Barbara, glad the Grecian 2000 worked so well for your dad. I think my dad would love the attention but only when he was in the mood for it. Was it today you were due to get the staples out? Hope so and hope it makes you more comfortable.

Toni, just been on your thread. Yippee, great news. Poor Paul's mum going from one thing to another. My dad was like that for about 3 weeks in hospital but they did eventually get on top of everything. Hope it's not long before she is able to get back home. I think it can be a bit scary selling up and moving to new house. You'll love it once you're there.

Had my youngest GD here today while mum and dad were at work. She's not been well since last week so was a bit up and down, playing one minute and lying down the next so we didn't do much of anything except story telling. We did manage to pop to the corner shop for a comic. She picked one that had pretend make up as a free gift (at £4, it was hardly free). When we got home and opened it, it was actually pens and erasers. She was a bit disappointed as she wanted to put lipstick and eye shadow on.

Hi to all, hugs to those in extra pain, Barbara and Kath. It certainly was a bit of a long break from having the Drs open, everyone was clammering for their prescriptions last Thursday. Hope the pain eases for you.
The Fairy houses look SO cute, love them :D

Sailing the Fjords sounds wonderful, my Uncle and Aunt went on a cruise around Norway and loved every minute. The scenery looks breathtaking, I would love to go to Norway full stop, especially in mid winter, north of the arctic circle, real snow, northern lights - a dream. I would likely be frozen bow legged though  They would not let me fly now and I am not good on boats. I get queasy on Lake Windermere

Today was a lovely sunny day, very different to Tuesday, got up to think snow !! OH said have you seen this? It was a blizzard. Fortunately it soon went, but everywhere looked magical for a while.

Time to potter some more - off for lunch with OH brother and sis in law and their two children tomorrow which will be nice, little village up in the Dales, not far from here.

Everyone take lots of care, hugs in abundance. XXX Bubbles
