Jean Alexander has died aged 90. She who found fame as Hilda Ogen in Coronation street and then in Last of the summer wine.

    Oh how sad. I grew up with Hilda Ogden :(

    Bless her, a great actress. I loved the Muriel in her front room. Poor Stan got some stick, when he sadly passed away, I don't think there was a dry eye in the nation at his on screen funeral, Jean was just brilliant.
