Pregnancy and JIA

I’m 28 weeks pregnant with my first baby and currently considering birthing options. I have 2 hip & 2 knee replacements and wondering has anyone had experience of natural birth with replacements. I am currently just weighing up my options as no one is giving me direction on the best way forward and whether there is any risks to natural birth with new hips. Any advice or guidance welcome.

Hi Debbie,

I had widespread RA but no replacements when I had my two sons. I'd assume that your obstetrics team would be the people who would need to know and advise about this but, as a first port of call, I always find GPs good at both advice and knowing who to consult. Good luck! It's tough with small children but lovely too.
