Time frame for reaching consultant ?
Hi there , just wondering what sort of time frame I can expect before I get to speak to a consultant. I saw the GP about 2 or 3 weeks ago and not had an appointment through yet for a consultant. I just wondered how long anyone generally has to wait with current covid problems before appointments come through for a consultation.
Maybe a bit of string question but thought I would ask anyway. Thanks

There is no NHS set time frame, it depends on your Health Authority, availability, how urgent your case is seen to be and a load of other factors such as Covid. Personally if I had not heard after 4 weeks I would chase it.

Just looked back and muy apt was 29th April, seems longer than that but will chase in a couple of weeks if not heard by then.

That’s good news, well done. I hope you get some real relief from it.
