Osteoarthritis in the elbows

Hi everyone, I’m new to this. I’m just wondering if anyone else suffers with osteoarthritis in their elbows? What pain relief helps you? I’m having a bad spell with pain at the moment and nothing is helping 😩

Excercising might be the last thing you feel like doing when you're in pain, but perhaps consider trying some of these when you feel more able as there are long term benefits for arthritis - keeping the joints lubricated and strengthening the surrounding muscles to take some of the strain off.

Thank you for the reply and the links, I will certainly look through them. Even simple physio exercises are causing pain at the moment. I had surgery in 2016 to remove a loose body in the right elbow and the same surgery in 2017 in the left elbow, I was diagnosed with osteochondritis dessicans and osteoarthritis of both elbows.

I had an X-ray on my right elbow last week and the arthritis has got worse since it was last xrayed in 2015. I’m being referred back to the specialist.
