Need my Hands Back :(

Hi all,

I was diagnosed with RA around 11 years ago.

Despite medication my hands have suffered from really bad finger/knuckle deviation. I used to play the guitar a lot up until about 5 years ago when it became to difficult and painful. My question is, I know there is surgery available at some point, is there any chance they will be fixed enough to start playing again? Advice from another guitarist would be helpful.
