Pain management
Hello, I'm new to the forum and was hoping you would be able to help. I have had OA for a number of years but over time it seems to be in every joint and I have just been told I have cervical spondylosis as well as lumbar and I will need a total knee replacement in a couple of years. I'm currently taking zadain 30 codeine and 500 paracetamol and diclofenic cream, which takes the edge off to start but soon wears off. I have read that Capsaicin cream is good but I'm not sure which one or if this can be obtained on prescription. Sorry for the long introduction, hoping you can help.

Hi @skye2022 welcome to our online community where you will meet members to share tips and advice.
I understand that have had OA for some years, now affecting every joint and spondylosis as well as lumbar and will need a total knee replacement. You are taking medications and wandering if Capsaicin cream is available on prescription.
Whilst you wait to connect with our members, I have attached a couple of links from our website for you to have a look at, one about OA and the other _:
I am so glad that you found us. Do continue to post and connect with other members.
Best wishes.

Hi @skye2022
capsaicin is prescription only so you need to ask your GP people on here absolutely swear by it although there was a shortage a while back I think.
Take care and welcome!
