Reshmi You poor thing I do hope you feel a bit better today even if only in the stomach I find the jab effects can go on for a day or so.

I am so pleased BR felt well enough to go for a walk. I hope he is enjoying having his mummy with him I bet he is he always likes that bless him. Not a lot we can do about chicken pox it's a nasty one, but there's no vaccine yet.

Well done having your COVID jab I am still deciding whether to have mine of course you are also protecting your parents.

I know!! the pollen! Mind it was windy too yesterday blowing it everywhere! My eyes were pouring never mind I still have enough drops for now. Has LA the pharmacist been diluting our drops???😮

Sounds as though you turned the day around beautifully there! After you got your meds getting out on the bike and visiting your Mum a great visit too. You even got to see Anda and Sucré much needed cuddles no doubt.😊

@frogmorton Apparently the strawberries & cream hydrangea is popular in France, i remember u saying u go to France, u ever seen it there? I wouldnt move again i would say hang fire. If u think about how much time over the yr the kids will use that trampoline with our weather plus age id say theyre done & bored by 2 summers with it. Plus people keep trampolines longer than they get used due to size, theyre hard to dispose of so it may still be there but i doubt it will get alot of use. Has yr pet had an op costing £7500? Im sorry i dont always follow the chats its difficult to read if its not in reply to me although i have tried. Im glad yr feeling alot better maybe that run out at the car rally gave u a much needed boost 😀 my excercise bike is still in the box… to be continued…🤣ps Happy Birthday i see many happy returns xx

I noticed that it was your birthday on “lace - nook” or whatever the tatters call it lol

Mums bs is ok today thanks

But I had a very bad morning, I ate breakfast at the normal time but then felt so weak I couldn’t get out of bed till almost 11 am, when my mum made me a cup of tea, bless her, I think the jab also gave me a bit of toothache and sharp muscular pains from time to time.
dad is ok at the moment thanks

LA is slightly jealous of BR’s “special treatment” in his eyes lol, maybe he wanted to take part in a breakfast - eating competition haha,as long as their daddy doesn’t eat a pasty for breakfast that would be a bit much

Oh no the pollen! I worry about it enough here, but it must even worse for you in such a green and leafy part of the country

Over here there are a few rosebushes and blossoming trees that I feel like avoiding but it’s not always possible, so I wear my rather strange baby pink sun hat - on loan from ELTB lol - if can, but of course we can’t fully avoid plants etc full of pollen, as you said, that’s the ookey problem indeed 😱

I didn’t manage a walk today unfortunately

Yes group tomorrow if I feel up to it

Some other news that i almost forgot, we are having our kitchen re - done soon, it starts this Thursday and will take at least 2 and a half weeks

Afternoon all 👋 welcome to shortish post day, well for toads anyway, yesterday's was such a whiney ramble (& remember grammar, toady? 🙄).

No drills today frog just lawnmowers, someone must have gone 3 days without, panic/horror 😉. I have not mown once so May will be all the same to me 😄. No, no hay fever for me luckily. Anyway it was nice out but windy; Sleek kept her earmuffs on for that! v wise 😺. Have now split my agapanthus, hope they flower this year 🤞. Well done with the planters & I bet they are better than you say 👍️. Yes social housing fine; these are not remotely, and 100+ of the things.. your 8 should be over more quickly but still hope the noise is not too near. Found the beeping of lorries reversing almost as bad as anything. So sorry about the dress most annoying 😕. Good luck with your shopping, have pushed mine on to Thurs haha. I do have a very nice slice of cake Sleek brought for me wrapped in a paper napkin 😉🍰😽 have a nice evening :) xx oh and well done little Peanut, keep up the good work 👍️

Hello Joan, I've just looked up the As van fire, what a blaze 😮 very lucky no-one was hurt! You would not want that happening outside your house. Everyone's ready meals would have been very well done that day..! shame about the waste. Hope you find a good food delivery company I wasn't sure what sort you were considering. Sorry you have been feeling a bit iffy yourself hope you feel better as the afternoon goes on. And can go to group all being well. Thanks Charlestown, wish I had that view from somewhere indoors, some people will have had until this new housing, feel v sorry for them. I have never seen those lovely hydrangeas in France, but we go again in June so I will spend the entire time searching for them I think now😁

Peanut is my very good friend's yorkie. She has two and needs them very much since her wife died a year or so ago from cancer. He's really very young I think about 3. Hopefully he's on the mend now.

Thanks for the birthday wishes - all done now for another year. have you noticed kids these days have birthday weekends - even weeks? they take the day of work😄 We just get on with it don't we?!

You're right about those trampolines waste of money for how much use they get. Maybe the adults will use it when they have one of their parties and a bit too much to drink!

Fingers crossed for your Agapanthus - sure they'll be ok and flower for you. I have self seeded bluebells in my beds! Love them! Briefly i thought they were my Agapanthus as they are in the right place. Bessie Bot was fixed yesterday bless her and is now quietly mowing our field.

Morning all

Its cloudy but 15° atm soon to be 18° so the washing is already pegged out.

My son does not want to go for a walk so im going to open the box if the excercise bike. Note how i worded that!🤣 Ive either been too tired or busy until now im not worried about building it im actually good at flatpack stuff etc.Hope i havent spoken to soon.

Yes @frogmorton when in France will be interesting if you see the hydrangea there as they are supposed to be popular there. They look more cone shaped like a buddlhia or a lilac. Wow thats a hefty vet bill thank god for pet insurance. We have had 1000’s of new builds here not right next to me a few mins away allover the farmers fields i were stunned when i saw how vast it were. There is major house building allover the NW atm.Its makes me sad. I grew up playing in & surrounded by fields & none are there now all built on.

@toady i bought a couple of plastic barrel type pots not small. I want the buddlhia in the huge pot to grow & bedding in the rest. Still got a forsythia thats homeless lol. Unfortunately we dont own our view which is often the very thing that sells a house! I have no houses opposite me just a tow of huge fir trees must be 40ft high. We get pigeons, owls, sqirrels, bullfinches & other birds too. Its nice but not at 3am when twit twooing outside my bedroom window or a loud screech sounds like someone being murdered 🤣its barn owl & tawny owl i think when i last checked.

@joan i used to get told off for jumping on my bed! Did u sort out yr shopping order. Is it a weekly delivery you cancelled? Like a weekly online delivery same stuff every werek? You can order weekly & choose yr delivery day with most supermarkets now so you dont need to go out. Handy for winter or the bigger things.

@frogmorton ive had 4 covid jabs im not having anymore. Same with flu jab i got poorly for weeks from that & so did my ENT specialist & she said shes never having another flu jab & neither have i!

I did indeed get up too early but i went to bed at 8 pm yesterday have been feeling a bit sleep deprived and weird though, but my dad kindly gave me a grumpy dad lift one way and I did get to group 👍

Have been fortified with coconut water and gluco zade, appetite not fully back though

Hi all 👋

Lovely day frog but not the most successful in the garden, left my sweet peas in the cold frame overnight meant to bring them in, shrivelling in the heat this morning.. jolly well hope they pick up (have to pay for every mistake don't you.. 🙄) & my last year's hollyhock has been eaten to hollow stalks 😣 . Survived all winter & was fine til now, why that one over all the others, it's hardly a youngster any more 🙄. Me & the snails are going to be battling it out again unless I move 100% to plants they hate 🤷‍♀️. Could do with a few ducks like GW. Ah well nature has to have its place. No mice though, no 😧. Beautiful frog, yes I see him 😍 how lovely. Thank you 😊. I have lots of bluebells now all from one original clump (I know, mustn't take from woodlands said Adam, it was years ago I was young & foolish 😳). Did some grass lopping today so it's not up to my knees 😄 & some path weeding, glad you have a lovely grubber, very good gift 😀👍️ and glad you had a nice evening. Ooh more cake, thank you, have put shopping off again 😂😂 Sleek cheered up once it turned into a nice calm day today (me too). Hello joan, I can see the coconut water in S if I google but often it's different when you're logged in isn't it because of your area. I've never tried it I have soya a lot though. Yes the forecast is all over the place, supposed to be raining here now but it isn't, I wanted a walk later hope it holds off 😔. 1st of May already, have one or 2 birthdays I must remember. Nice bike Charlestown! That looks sturdy and solid, I will seriously consider one when I make room. Especially as you can rate it out of 10 for us, and are letting us have a go first 😄. I like it 😀👍️. No more spuds in my tubs yet either, do hurry up 😣 your strawberries are looking nice & happy though. What is the pink shrub 😳. Am having a bit of a move around in the garden & will be sorting out salad stuff, that's what some of the pots are for - I bought some mizuna, I like it in salad bags never thought to try it myself. Nice to have all that wildlife & birdlife opposite you 😊 I know what you mean about owls though, yes it's barn owls that make the terrible noise isn't it, when I first heard one had never heard anything like it, frightened the wits out of me in case a cat was hurt 😱. Is it the tawnies that are not so bad, either the twit-twoo or the females go 'k'wik' sort of thing, if that's the right ones 🤔 we get them occasionally. @toady the bike is good ive done 5 mins on it, yr right it is sturdy not a cheap rickety thing im glad ive got as i will use it one day then miss a day & increase the time slowly as i go on while watching tv. This one folds up remember too. Its got a monitor too for heart, km, calories etc etc i think you would like it too if u had one 👍😀

The pink shrub is an azaela is that how u spell it? it just wont grow any bigger 🤣been that small since i got it yrs ago but its flourescent in colour its so bright! I will be in bed very early its been 7pm last few nights. We had an early appt yest so had to set off before traffic started. Ive had my loppers out chopping up branches to put in the bin had quite alot so once less job to do. No taters, nothing in propogator still. Ive got 3 tubs of strawberries they give alot of fruit too. Im googling mizuna lol. Ooh nice! Yes we like that too i didnt know its name. Yes ive heard the ‘k wik’ too of the owls theyre obvs breeding & i know the screech is the mating call of the barn owl as we only hear it at a certain time each year. I would love to know where they actually hibernate without getting disturbed in such a busy world we live in now. Currently watching Love your Garden. Im ready for bedding plants & sow rest of these seeds. Trying to think of where to put this Forsythia ….if you grow mixuna that would be a success i bet its nice in salad theres another peppery leaf its round we get that sometimes. 🙁to house builds… the noise & mess although i understand theyre needed it really makes a massive impact on an already busy area eg roads/schools/gp’s they never build them quick enough do they!!!!

I cancelled the call with the elderly guy in the end as although he’s a lovely person, the concept of a short phone call is somewhat alien to him haha

But this morning was very difficult really some of the R Brek went in the bin as appetite wasn’t normal

LA has had the pox of the nuggets - sorry chicken - thanks

He asked his mummy which planet they were on lol,

As sometimes I think he believes we are still in prehistoric times where the dinos live in the Lego garages he builds for them, yes you heard that right, the T - Rex lived in a high - tech garage full of nuggets calamine lotion (ouch indeed) and rather odd little treasures like that.

BB does like to boss no doubt there, but the main builder is quite professional and hardworking so my dad’s “management skills” are redundant in this case thankfully

I wore summer tights with thick socks and had no time to change 😱

But in the end I guess it was ok, but normally I would have worn thicker tights as cold is no friend of arthritis of course, well in my case anyway

hi all. Lovely day today. First time this year I've been out on bike with no liner under my body armour. Woohoo!!!

I went for an eye test today. Apparently I have to see a specialist now for a problem with my right eye. It’s beginning to be all D&G again. Vision is fine though, quite good for someone of my age so I was told!!

I filled in an online survey about some motorcycle stuff the other day. I am now in the last but one age category. For goodness sake 🙄. Not fair. Apart from the pain I don’t feel old.

Still haven’t done bass strings but I did email the online retailer I get all my strings from and say I wasn’t happy that one of the strings appears faulty. They really very good so I will probably get a disquenta code.

I took the pannier attachment bits off the Beemer today. They ugly and I never use the boxes as they very heavy when empty and coz of the exhaust hump on the left one you can’t exactly get a lot in them, and as I don’t ever take a pillion now I just sling a dry bag on the back seat if we going away anywhere. So it now has a sleek sporty look. Much betterer.

Off to bed, doubt I will sleep as I seem a bit tense atm. Is Peanut okay Toni?
