Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out to see if anyone has experience or advice regarding osteoarthritis in the hip, particularly when it involves referred pain to the groin and testicle area,

I've been dealing with hip pain for a while now, and my doctor recently diagnosed me with osteoarthritis. Alongside the hip pain, I'm experiencing significant discomfort in my groin, which I've learned can be related.

I've been prescribed 8/500 co-codamol, but unfortunately, it barely touches the pain and I cannot take NSAIDs due to being on Warfarin for Peripheral Arterial Disease.

Only seems to be painful on walking / standing.

I'd appreciate any advice or personal experiences on managing this condition.

Kind regards.

Derek

I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in rh hip absolutely severe pain in hip thigh lower leg and ankle impossible to walk very far. I was given tramadol 50mg 2 4 times a, day don't like taking them but no choice. Even these only just made a slight difference. I had a steroid injection 5 days ago and at last am about 75% improvement which I am so very grateful for. Waiting to see what can be done about it now. All the very best to you.

@dtnorth I had a hip replacement six months ago and my pain had been as much in my groin as hip. After my replacement I still had soreness in my groin area for some time which I've been told was due to muscles not being used properly due to my hip issues - could this be what's causing your groin pain?
