So quick background I had been on methotrexate for 6 weeks and was having horrible side effects, so I came off and was waiting to see a new consultant.

Whilst waiting I have been having really bad stomach pains the doctor put me back on naproxen which took the edge off. I had my appointment with a new consultant yesterday and she wasn't sure I even had arthritis and has referred me for pet ct to find out why my inflammatory markers are high. I'm now worring it's something more serious.

    Sorry to hear your concerns about Methotrexate I like you had a bad stomach and my liver markers were raised I was taken straight off it and given folic acid to take daily. My Alkaline Phosphatase is slowly coming down but I have to now decide what to take in the future and offered the following so researching Etanercept/Sulfasalazine/Adalimumab/Leflunomide.🤷‍♂️

    How long before your pet ct scan ?? Hopefully that will give you the answers. Then you can move forward🤞

    It is all very worrying and a mind field so do feel for you but you are in the right hands and not alone hopefully others will connect with you soon.

    Hi just curious if your methotrexate was by self administered injection? And did you take folic acid every day except methotrexate day?
