Check this site out - MTX is also used to treat ectopic pregnancy, it’s a horrible experience but this puts it in context

In particular, knowing which high folate foods to avoid on MTX day, and which are ok.

The dose of MTX for ectopic pregnancy is between 75-100mg depending on the patient's body mass, given all at once intramuscularly, an absolutely massive dose compared with what we take.

@Hermine Can’t imagine how horrible the experience must be. My weekly 25mg makes me nauseous & retch. Oh I miss the glorious MTX free remission years!

And the constant risk of another bout of shingles, which I was not expecting for another 30 years!
