Rheumatoid arthritis and chest pain
I had a flare up of symptoms this week, absolutely awful! But I've also had severe chest pain too (thought I was having a heart attack) . I know I should've gone straight to the hospital to be on the safe side but I just put up with it and rested as much as I could. I'm feeling better but when I breathe in deeply, it still hurts in my chest, should I still go to hospital and get checked out or not because I know that R/A can affect the heart/lungs etc.
TIA

Yes, it’s important you get yourself properly checked out with a proper work up. They will do blood tests to measure cardiac enzymes, troponin levels ECG & ultra sound at the very least. If they suspect something they’ll want to do a CT scan, all of which, compared to an MRI, are relatively cheap. Hopefully you have a decent cardiology hosp near you.
Now get yourself checked out at a hosp.

Well I went into hospital to get checked over and after ruling out a possible heart attack, they think I may have a blood clot in my lungs. Have been put on blood thinners until my scan to see if it is that or something else. I've never been so worried 😢

@TrudyD Well done for getting on their radar. They should have done a scan quickly, but thinners is a start.
