Evening all

Have been very busy the last few days have not had time to post. Also had a chronic back ache which has been really painful. And I have not slept well because of it which has made me very tired. And yesterday I had my covid booster. Not that that caused any problem only an aching arm however that’s ok today.

ok bit more on update about what’s been going on. After our regular check ups at doctors blood test and the like .my last blood test showed I was right on the base line of pre diabetes so have to watch what I eat until my next blood test somewhere at the end of the month. Fingers crossed that I have come out of the cstart of it. Mr T hasd blood test showing high cholesterol after a re check after taking tablets for a while and they found a fatty liver, so they took him off the cholesterol tablets to see if it made any difference. After the last blood test he was told him the fat has decreased a bit so have given him some different different cholesterol tabs.

The result of all these blood test means we are both trying to eat more healthy. It isn’t doings us any harm as we had both gained weight again after losing it when we went to SlimmingWorld. So the bonus is we have both lost weight again. We both now suffer the arthritis aches and pains, and mr t now has to take co-codamol. Our house is like a chemist shop. 😂😂😂

I came across this photo today it’s our little Jaxson or as we all call him Jax when he was a bit younger he is always smiling.

Toady (()) there is a green belt near here where I take pepper it’s a good few acres with trees. I think they will build on it soon but not yet they haven’t. I made an appointment with the doctor I’m fed up with my finger on my right hand I just thought I should put up with it. It’s the finger next to the little one it bends down and touches my hand and the little finger goes out side ward it’s so difficult doing things I have to keep straightening it.it’s a good job I’m left handed. I’m sorry you have all that worry. Have a good day.

Sorry I’m somewhat crackered, you know on Mother’s Day I went to the shop and it was so full of pollen - filled flowers I was sneezing non - stop, very ookey

My ankle pulses with pain in the morning, so I'm having a dead spell do nothing takìng strong pills they help for 4 hours, the other part my cats help me out.

I just wanted to get this poem on here

Vc poem, a kind of special and personal one, there’s a quotation I’ve been seeing online quite a lot, which is ‘Not fragile like a flower but fragile, like a bomb’ which is often attributed to Frida Kahlo but that may not be the exact source anyway that line inspired me so I kind of incorporated it into the title,

it’s a poem about my mother it’s not 100% factual, but the essence of her personality is there I like to think .
It’s called “ Fragile like a flower? Or fragile like a bomb? she shines through all adversity with a humbling aplomb”
She walked home sorry, it is made of cotton silk
But she was not a rich man’s daughter, no she was not have that fortunate ilk
Her wooden bangles bangles on her wrists
But no gold or silver was needed to raise her from the mists
Lentils and rice awaited her on a plate
But she was her own educated self - sufficient woman, no need for her to find a parent - pleasing soulmate
She had kohl - lined eyes full of determination and zeal
A burning intellect and spirit, not just the maker of a meal
She may style her hair according to the latest fashion
But she studied literature with such an overwhelming passion
She taught young women, gave them independence, and hope
And now she still helps me from going down a slippery slope
More than a mother, more than a wife
She is safety wise, counsel, and a brain sharper than any knife

Afternoon all 👋 half asleep here, if I nod off and start drooling over the cafe tablecloths poke me somebody 😬.

Super day but not a lot done frog, yes still windy but not as bad, that's about it here too. Have planted a couple of things out & sown some lupins. Must do some more sweet peas. Yes the 'do more or do less' dilemma this year, I'm divided between the 2; the suspicion it would be sensible to scale down like you say for one's own good, vs the desire not to be beaten 😬. Some sort of compromise I suppose. Glad your alliums are doing ok, bit worried about some of mine, should have gone in in the autumn really - I'd do better to be guided by the sort of websites that say what is out of stock/out of season, than buying mine at end of Jan off nosegay - still proper sellers mind you, still selling allium bulbs now, perhaps they assume you will buy now & then wait til the right time? 😳. Is it your seed compost that dries out quickly? Mine doesn't seem too bad mind you it was a sub from what I actually ordered. What they use in Piddle etc dries out if you turn your back a minute I find 😮. I certainly never manage to keep my seed trays the right level of moist, anyway 🙄. Ooh Elfie has plans, does he? Secret plans? 🤫 how interesting. Not much else new here - the violet I bought last year from 'the lady' is flowering and is purple, not like little Vi the wood violet 😊. Yes I would like to see her house & garden too Sleek, I could of course snoop with aerial maps & whatnot but that's a bit iffy I think. There's good & bad to the street view ones, useful I suppose, but never really liked the idea. Sleek will be much needed in the dark days of the workmen thanks, not yet, but when they do start they will be coming out of the woodwork 😬 many swooning fits I suspect 😱. Hope the dentist referral bears fruit, never encouraging is it when one medical body is critical of another 😔but as long as it gets you somewhere. Glad there was nothing needing at this appt for either of you👍️ love to all 😘 xx

Hello Joan, here is a hug for picking up Lexi's ashes, it's hard 😘 I have my two cats' ashes they were meant to then go in the garden but I never did in the end in case I moved. I have so many little birds and mice in the garden though 😔. I wish I had thought to have a little bit of fur but it might have made me sadder I'm not sure. I have one or two whiskers. Hope the steroid jab helps if you have it. That sounds nice where the old house is, sad for it to be gone but still better to leave it as ruins, far better for nature and so many places for wildlife. Yes both my blackbirds are around I have seen them today, I hope they will be building 😊🐦️. Love to you & Pepper 😘 xx

Hi bosh, what a moving poem, I understand that it is not all 'from life' but it is the flavour that matters 😊 such a lovely picture to go with it too. Glad your mum is ok today and there are no visiting persons. 9 and a half hours sleep the day before is brilliant, not that you want to be overtired enough to need it but it will have been restorative in any case. Weather not too bad today because it is enough cloud, hope it is for you too. The ice cream has gone the way of all flesh then 😄 lucky no bills or cousins or littleys need know of this and we shall never tell. Take care have a good evening.

How's things with Keef today, what was the sore throat about? Ta for the midnight tea, I was up I was glad of it 👍️. Hope you are doing ok and will get a chance to get around to the bike service. Bet you Sucré will turn out to be bright at chess, it was a humbling experience after 2 minutes at chess club at school to realize it was not for me 😳 mind you I was rotten even at monopoly etc so not surprising 🤪.
