Good afternoon to you all
well went for my blood test today at the hospital only to find that you can no longer just walk in and get blood test done you have to book an appointment. Drs receptionist at surgery told me last Wednesday that you could just walk in. Receptionist at hospital tells me she could give me an appointment at 1.15pm so thought ok have some lunch in the hospital hang around and go back to department later. Suddenly dawned on me that last test I remember it being a fasting one so as I had had breakfast I realised that I couldn’t have it today . So hospital have now booked it for Thursday. I was furious at my I really was. So I went out into the front of the hospital to calm myself down. Then rang my Drs and very calmly and made a complaint to the senior receptionist. How I did it I do not know as I wanted to scream. Especially as it has been appointment only since December 2023.
Hi Toni No our church do not do anything thing like agape I think you called it.. I’m on the borderline of pre diabetes. What Mr T and myself have been doing has worked and is reversing it .
i can collect my prescription but I was put on delivery service by chemist during covid and did not bother to take myself of of it and in fact quite a few times I have rung up and asked if they have done it and I will collect it. .You right about drs as you say if you manage to get an appt when you get there there is only a couple of people waiting. So how can the Drs be busy with appts. So think of me on Friday at 10.30 am and hope the blood test goes ok on Thursday.
Love the carrots picture BOSH poor carrots 😂😂
Stay positive always👍xx1 -
Hi Toni and toady
Just a little poem inspired by toady about hair clips - I did actually “research” this a little bit, but if any of the “deets” as young people sometimes say, lol, are not quite right, no one take offence it’s only a poem 😂
Ok bye for now tc xx
Vc poem called “toady’s smelted hair clips from the Lord of the blings”
Narya was a hair- clip that inspired hairdresser - related resistance
The Nenya hair - clip had powers of water, used with gel it tames fly -aways with such persistence
Vilya was the healing hair clip - like petroleum jelly on skin
Such good quality accessories that never entered the dustbin
The hairdresser himself was Sauron of Mount Doom
The owners of subordinate clips would cower whenever he entered the room
The Dwarf Lords were tough for they were the hairdressers of yore
For when toady had had enough they cut her locks with just one stroke of the sacred sword, it was no chore
No grazes or tiny injuries, the Dwarf Lords were masters of their trade
The only problem was that the littleys had gobbled up all their treats, fruit salad (yummy yummy) and swigged down their lemonade2 -
hello everybody
not a bad weekend of chocolate and roast lamb thank you to all for asking. Forgot to do pic of dinner yesterday, although wiffwoof didn’t come it was just us three and Niff so I had loads too much lamb and veg but we ate most of it. Sainsbury’s no longer stock Knor Lamb stockpot things which is annoying!!!
i haven’t read back yet so apologies. I have just rolled in on the KTM and thought I’d better post.
Will read in full tomorrow hope everyone had a jolly nice weekend and far too much Easter chocolate and food. Sucré had a walk to the local church who had a display for Easter with Jesus. On the way out he said ‘Bye Jesus!’Wppt. Love to all xxx

hi again Toni
Yes sleek is in the dolls house and has overeaten lol
Yes the littleys have exterminated all the cheese as they say on Dr Chew
At least I’m able to watch tv which doesn’t feature cobra monster snake hybrids etc
Or the rookie monster singing insincere ballads of the fruit salad variety
LA slept through but BR got up at 2am and wanted water, mum was up then briefly so she helped him.
But at one point they will both be staying for 5 nights - I may need your prayers then or possibly I’ll ask the gracious toady if I can stay a bit longer in the biccie cupboard lol
I must admit I partook of a Cornish pasty today
But it has been a while since my last beef plus sat fat - related sin I guess
Dad left tablets lying about, LA found them and gave them to mum
Thank God BR didn’t find them and eat them, we told dad this cannot happen again
Ok I’m trying to go to bed a bit earlier, at least the aim lol
👋have a good night toady Toni Joan Jojo SK S knee etc tc xx
Ps Toni when LA told you to make him something with cheese, this isn’t what he had in mind 😂xx

Hi all 👋 just a mini hello to keep my place so to speak 😁 one day down two to go. Up at 6am today because I got up for the milk and wasn't worth going back to bed again. Downhill all the way now I hope 🤞 I will be injecting tomorrow (timing!), it's all go 😂.
Thank you for the moral support as always frog, Sleek is a trouper 👍️ sorry I kept her rather late 😳😉 and thank you for Moocha monkey, you are a v good sport 😊🤭. Catch up soon touch wood, for proper news etc, my poor garden, when will I get back to you 😣 hope yours is ok, heavy rain here tonight. Love to all 😘 xx
One coffee, no bics is today's 'tally' for workmen Joan 😄 can't remember what the chap tomorrow usually has or whether he'll be on his own. The neighbours were doing something to the outside drainpipe, technically half mine I suppose, so will benefit me, so mustn't grumble. At least it's a one-off job 👍️. Now it's my turn to have a bit of noisy work I bet everyone will be out & manage to avoid it 🤷♀️. Hope Charlie gets on ok while he's away. Love to you & Pepper 😘 xx
Have a good night bosh and I will return to the poem in due course, which I love, a whole world of legendary hairgrips 😀 and the Dwarf Lords are terrific 👍️. Take care will catch up properly soon, have read back but probably haven't taken everything in, I note though that there may be a longer littley visit so yes do book early at the biccie cupboard to avoid disappointment (joking of course, I will make an open reservation 😉). Hope you made it to bed early and you have a good walk to group 👋 xx
How very very infuriating that was Carol, very sorry for you, December 2023 for goodness' sake 🙄 hope the next appt goes well wish you lots of luck xx
Hoping your results were back as planned and were helpful Jojo 🤞 have a good night xx
Have a good night SK glad everyone well and had a nice Easter, not a single egg here poor me 😔 (there was chocolate, just too stingy to pay for overpriced Easter stuff 😄. The well-known classic small egg, they are meant to come in fours, not threes 🙄😠😂). xx
Hope Stuart doing as well as poss and has been doing something in the garden unlike myself 😬 xx
Have a good night all 😴 xx

Morning Joan how are you today looks ok out there so far. Paul has a rotten cold bless him luckily he is on site, but I have asked him to do a COVID test when he gets home today before he comes too close. Isn't Charlie lovely picking up your prescriptions? He is a very good neighbour, but i do hope you never have to live in his bungalow again so no more falling. Oh tell him to look after the door key! Take care ((())) xxx
Morning Jojo hopefully you'll hear from the Drs soon now you've chased things. Sorry you are working the next bank holiday, but hopefully it's only a short shift and as you said you can have a day out on the Saturday with the family. I worked loads of bank holidays when mine were little it was sensible you got paid more. Take care ((())) xxx
Morning Reshmi
How are you all now? Must be recovered from the onslaught. How is your foot though? Hopefully you can get to the group just for a while as you said but dodge nasty M.
Of course it's 100% worth being tired to get to spend time with the boys not all families are as close as yours you are very lucky. Not sure I'd cope with 5 days though! Are BIL and your Sis going to have a break together? Not a problem for the boys they will love it especially if they get more fruit salad and custard yum 😋
Poor LA having that scary thought when he gets into bed. Children often do that don't they their minds play tricks on them. Good lad spotting the medication and giving it to an adulk. BB I hope has learnt his lesson from a 7 year old! BR probably woke up because he was in a strange place next time might be better as long as he was happy enough though.
Do not show them the marrot photo! Noooo! They will stop eating them😁It's a funny pic though, as is the one with the rather large feline. Even I might hide if I saw one that big. As for the cheesy cafe well……hope it doesn't whiff of cheese too🤣
Waiting for the poem to clear the bank I suppose it has been a bank holiday weekend a double one.
Take care Reshmi ((())) xxx
Morning Stuart I do hope you and your Mum and the cats are all well (())
Morning Carol
What a palaver! Honestly you couldn't make it up. The surgery should know the new rules. Ours is the same now too really odd how come none of the health service can manage what they used to be able to???? GPs surgeries empty yet you can't get an appointment and the end of walk-in blood tests too??? What is wrong with it all?
Get off that list for prescriptions if you can no way should you waste £6 a month if you can pick them up yourself now.
I will think of you on Thursday I am sure you will no longer be borderline you are good at eating healthily and for the blood test this time you will remember to fast. You won't make that mistake again. On Friday you will have good news at the Drs I am sure 🤞 Take care and keep up the good work ((())) xxx
Morning Skinny K how are you?
Oh that is so sweet! Sucré saying goodbye to Jesus! What a good idea too opening up the Church like that with an Easter display will encourage people in.
Glad to hear you had a lovely Easter lots of choc and your usual lovely Sunday roast. Don't you worry Skinny won't get fat he can eat up all the leftovers and still get in his leathers! Did Wiffwaff get meals on wheels sent back with Niff?
Take care and no rush to read back just move on forwards…..I would! ((())) xxx
Morning Toady sounds as though you are coping admirably there. Injection today though not so great still needs must..
Sleek is en route as you probably know she's on her powered scooter today so shouldn't be long. She has brought you a surprise. I shall say no more other than think Magpie murders😉 Excellent distraction. As was Moocha's song although it is better with music! Would you like to hear 'little toe' next?🤣
Good news the neighbour is fixing the downpipe. Hopefully will benefit you as you said and also convenient timing as things are noisy and disruptive anyway.
Raining here now well more drizzle hopefully might taper off enough for a walk later. Sending ((())) and supportive wishes xxx

Hi toady I hope you are well and I hope you have a good day hopefully the workmen don't get in your way too much. Still haven't heard much they left a voice mail saying they are going to check my results yesterday just to bear with them so no news must be good news right?

Morning everyone
Hi Joan how are you? How is your cold? I can't believe it that's you Reshmi and Paul. Wise move postponing your vaccine booster. Take it easy today and keep warm it really is cold ((())) xxx
Morning Stuart if you are more comfortable with the brace l can understand. Was that Ollie telling us he's doing ok? Seems like he's the only one everyone here isn't great one way or another. (())
Morning Jojo I totally agree it's always (mostly) rubbish for bank holidays and everywhere is heaving best to do stuff when it's quieter. I do hope you aren't feeling too bad? I am actually ok a bit chilly still and had enough of rain but apart from that I'm ok. Are you working today? ((())) xxx
Morning Skinny Keef I love love love the photos they went a long way to making me feel like the weather will pick up soon and I will be outside enjoying my garden soon😊 Hope your head has eased a bit this morning ((())) xxx
Morning Reshmi
Not you with a cold too?😮what is going on everyone seems to have them! That's you, Joan and Paul. I hope no-one else at yours catches it. I am keeping my distance from Paul as much as I can without hurting his feelings too much.
Was that bus beans on toast?! Incredible photo there! I can get vegan croissants although not in France, but from Hasda, but wouldn't waste them on a dress😉
Well same advice to you as Joan keep warm and take it easy drink plenty and rest up for now sending some tissues 🤒and ((())) xxx
Morning Toady well it rather looks as though we are the last ones standing! Paul did indeed test negative, but I am still giving him wide berth I do not fancy catching a cold and joining all of our poorly friends here.
I am so glad to read that today should be the last of your workpersons for a good while. Elfie was thrilled to visit - you can imagine his shrieking 19 to the dozen. Sleek was happy to bring him. Today she plans to just support you then help put things straight so the house feels like yours again.
I haven't managed much it's just been too miserable and cold outside quite depressing actually isn't it? Looks as though things should improve soon. Keef's photos did cheer me up a bit though.
Take care and WELL DONE! ((())) xxx
