Severe pain with RA.
I'm needing some advice and help. Have severe pain with my RA, predisone was prescribed, but is interfering with my blood pressure medication, cant take it. I have previous heart disease and this caused my blood pressure to go out of control. Seem my cardiologist today he thinks the inflammation from the RA has affected my heart. RA doctor says to take Tylenol for pain, this isn't working. Cardiologist put me on isosorbide mononitrate for chest pains, but can't get rid of my pain throughout my body. Feel defeated with the pain. Sad part predinsone was starting to work, but can't take anymore. Any suggestions as to what to try next? I feel sometimes my doctors just don't get how bad I feel. I'm only 60 and comptemplating leaving my job and just let it be. I don't know if asking my PCP that I hurt and that I need something to help with the pain is looking like I want pain killers to solve my problems (I'm not this person). Have tried Tramadol, it hasn't worked either. Not sure there's any hope for me at this point. Appreciate any advice at this time, my WHOLE BODY ACHES!!!!

Hello @critterlover does your hospital have a pain clinic that you could ask to be referred to? Might be worth asking.
