Maybe silly question I’m taking methotrexate can I ask all the ladies in this group if you go to nail technician to have gel nail varnish put on just asking cause they use a blue light to set it on with , just curious if this would make things worse with RA

    Hello @heardy and welcome to the Community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that will be your experience as well.

    I note your question about RA and getting your nails done. I have RA and take methotrexate and I have had my nails done regularly with no ill effects! However, I've never come across any information about issues with blue light so it may be worth you contacting our Helpline (details below) and checking with your Rheumatoid Nurse.
