Hi there, I’m due my 5th injection of Yuflyma on Saturday it ive just noticed that my left ankle is swelling up and I’m not sure if I should take the next injection but I’m frightened that the consultant will tell me to stop taking medication because I do feel slightly better, nothing life changing but not quite so tired, any advice on wat I should do?

Hopefully some of the other Yuflyma users will see tis Wendy, but i know in your shoes i would be letting your team know. Safety must come first, but possibly one of our other members who are using it might be able to help? People like @Arciere and @deny63 and @Eeyore

My very best wishes and do let us know how you get on

    Ellen.

    Hello @WendyGoode64

Sorry, I can't be of much help here, but I would definitely talk to your rheumy team. And don't forget, it's not a case of "Yuflyma or nothing", there are alternatives IF you have to come off Yulflma. I have had no side effects from Yuflyma, which I started in late December. But the methotrexate which I have been injecting for many months did seem to object to the Yuflyma as from the very first MTX injection after I started Yuflyma I got appalling nausea, which got worse week by week. My rheumy team asked me to stick with it until I'd had my first 12-week blood test for Yuflyma, that showed all normal so they then reduced the dosage of methotrexate and I have had no problems since.

As it's only one ankle that's swelling, not both, it may well be just a coincidence. Fingers crossed!

Gosh yes I'd tell them definitely is it arthritic pain? I mean it should be checked really. Hope you'll let us know what happens.

  • Thank you everyone for your advice, I get stabbing pains in the left ankle but nothing major but it’s definitely swollen and my psoriasis has definitely elevated but only on my feet, I’m due my next injection of Yuflyma on Saturday but I think I might ring my rheumatoid nursery tomorrow and see what they say, thanks again everyone, I’ll let you know
