Thank you for having me i have mild spastic diplegia but have suffered constant lower back pain for over 4 years only to keep getting told it was a back spasm. I went to orthotics who provided me with a right foot heel lift as I have a leg length discrepancy and requested i had an x-ray to assess hips as intoe on left foot anyway last week xray results came back got moderate osteoarthritis in L5/S1 and mild in si joints glad finally got answer but so annoyed after years of being fobbed off. Went to doctors referred me yet again to physio for lower back pain it's not lower back pain it's osteoarthritis

Hi @laura1986 and welcome to the online community,
It can be so frustrating not to receive a clear diagnosis for our symptoms, and unfortunately, arthritis is so often mis-diagnosed to begin with. Its good news that you’ve finally got the correct diagnosis though, although I’m not sure what L5/S1 is, or where your si joints are ?
I’ve put a couple of links below that you might be interested in looking at- one gives some more information about arthritis and the second some gentle exercises to help with back pain:
Best wishes,
