Hi
Its not all doom and gloom some times you have to go out there and enjoy and we certainly enjoyed our couple of days doing this.....
Wow...... My hubby and I went to see Tina Turner Live in concert at Sheffield Arena last night she was brilliant, we stayed in a Hotel for 2 nights and visited our daughter and our new baby grandson while we were there (loads of cuddles)...then back to normality as we drove home this morning and I was back to work this afternoon...... back to reality with a bang eh.
(My motto is: Enjoy yourself today because Life is too short and you never know whats round the corner)
Denise

I'm going to see U2 in August up in Sheffield and am having an overnight stay. Am so excited but a little worried about feeling ill whilst I'm away. I keep telling myself it could be my only chance to see them live (have been trying for ages) so I am to make the most of it! I'm glad you had a good time!

Saddo number 2 here - we saw David Essex in Aspects of Love last year - he's still lovely and his voice is just melting.

........ and how come Tina Turner still wears heels at 70 - I, for one, would love to see her in a pair of slippers

    Glad you enjoyed it Denise.

    Luv Legs :D

I will go on dreaming about seeing anyone in concert I would love to but my arthritis is far to bad, I wish and as for Tina Turner well what can I say I must be a lot worse than others as I could not possibly do that what with all the pushing, standing and so on am I alone in my dreams

Where I go to see David Essex is at a small theatre in Northampton like many others around the country. If when you ring to book tickets you inform them of your disability they are more than happy to make arrangements for you. By law all theatres have to be accessible for wheelchair users. Every time I have been to the Derngate theatre in Northampton there have been several wheelchair users and there is a special area where you can park up your wheels and enjoy the show. Next time there is something on give it a go, ring them and see what they will do for you. At some football grounds they will discount tickets for wheelchair users and their carers. Never say never and change those dreams into a reality.

Too right, Jennywren, practice what you preach and as you also say on the other thread "pull yourself together only you can beat anything no one else can ,not even cyber friends" so next time you want to go to a concert, go. You are making very feeble excuses.

    Hi Jennywren
Its right wheelchairs get a place of their own, there were wheelchair users in there watching Tina Turner and even if you are not in a wheelchair you dont have to stand to watch these shows if you get a seat at the side on the first tier you sit down. Problem Solved. Where there is a will there is a way you cant let arthur beat you all the time.
