Hi
I Went to the meeting last night at Wrightington Hospital last night it was just a get together like I had thought, but its great to meet other people with arthur. Most of them seem to have RA and I have OA and I am sure that some of the future meetings will have speakers that will contain more information on OA but its very informative and everyone is very very friendly and its good to be actually getting involved with the arthritis group as they do such good work on our behalf.
Just to think a few months ago I didnt know about this charity funny isnt it how you just plod along ..... in your own little world .....until you actually need something then it makes you become involved.
But I suppose thats life and the way we all are.

    Dear Denpen

Have just found your posting re Self Help Groups.
We had this at our local Hospital. Kettering General Hospital. Found it very useful. I think all Rheumatology departments should do this. It does help you knowing what's out there to help and what you can do to help yourself.

Hi, Its really good that your hospital encourages and supports this. I went to one locally but it is for RA. There is another one but its quite a long way to travel. I'm glad you've got something out of it. Sometimes just meeting others in a similar boat to you is good for you, isnt it? Love Sue
