Hello Tracey,Welcome to the forum and I am sure you will get a lot of replies from other members. I was diagnosed last Dec. with OA and then diagnosed about 10 days ago with RA as well.I don't have hip pain as mine is in the hands, knees and feet but I am sure others on the forum will be able to give you some advice.I have found this site very friendly and helpful and I am sure you will too. Hi Tracey
I have OA in both my hips but its not a burning pain that I have with my condition, and as far as I know thats not a symptom of OA but hopeully someone out there will be able to help you more with your particular problem.

Hi Tracey
Welcome to the forum. I am sorry to hear about your burning pain in the hip. Do you think it may be bursitis? Others on here do suffer or have suffered from bursitis of the hip, so may well be able to help you if this could be part of your problem.
I joined around 2 years ago and find the site quite addictive! I usually look in every day or I get withdrawal symptoms
I hope you get a diagnosis for your discomfort soon.

Hi Tracey
There is always room for another experienced "painy".
I have recently started having pains in my knees too but it's only when i bend to sit down/kneel down or bend them to stand up.
I was wondering if it is the strain from putting more weight on them since my back problems.
I hope you get some relief soon.0 -

Hi I have OA in my hips and spine ect. Most of the pain is an aching type of pain, but I have a compressed nerve in my neck and that sometimes feels hot and sharp. Maybe you have some nerve involovment, that can cause all sorts of pains and sensations.
Glad you've found the site. Hope you soon get that burning pain sorted. Love Sue0 -
Can't help with your burning pain but just wishing you a warm welcome.

Sounds like the pain I get in my hips which is bursa pain...inflammation that doesn't always show up in blood tests. Is it worse when you lie on that side? If so that is typical of bursa pain. ALways worth asking your Dr though as some people have injection that helps if it is really bad. Welocme to the site..it is an amazing thing to feel supported.0
