Hello - My DLA renewal has come around. My car expires in August so I had better get a move on.
Thing is - I have gone into a total blue fuzz of panic. I can't even focus to fill the forms in - I've asked the little man to help me - but it has surprised me that I am in such a panic. I realise that I have deteriorated since the last time, & I have all the information etc etc, but just can't even look at them today.....

I know what you mean! i get income support and mine has come up for review, i go to someone to help fill it in, they are very good and help me with it everytime, i've sent mine back, now i'm just waiting to see what happens, i hope i don't have to go for a medical, it's so degrading!! one year they did send me for one, and the things they ask are just the same as what is on the form, i think they are just testing to see if you can remember what you put, at the time they even asked me to clap my hands above my head! i felt as tho' i was back in primary school!!
anyway, the chap who helped filling it in said i should'nt have any problams because i have passed it befor but to go back to him if i do.

The things they ask on the form are so stupid, like....are you right or left handed!! what's that got to do with your illness

Try not to worry about it, i know it's hard not to tho'.
    Chris.

    Hi Mouisey mousey
Not much fun are they those forms? :(
When you'#ve done them why don't you photocopy them so it'll make it easier for next time?
Good luck. I hope it is easier than you expect.
    Take care

Morag, I hate those forms with a passion - they seem to rub your nose in all you can't do and you can start off all determined to get it over with and you end up feeling sorry for yourself :(

I know they're trying to build as big a picture of you as possible but I wish there was another way they could do it. In the old days they used to send a nice doctor round to interview you - a much better system.

    Good luck with it.

Many thanks for all the kind messages - have to say yesterday was a real duvet day...hid under it for most of the day...but onwards and downwards. Today we filled it all in so I'm oft to the PO tomorrow. Its daunting - I realise why, but couldn't find the box anywhere to explain how hard it was for me to empty my moat.

One thing about duvet days - I've realised now that they do eventually pass. I hide myself away - from past experience I'm not at my best, so the day is best spent with a book or something. Today was much better & thank you....Mxx
