I thought i would begin a new thread in order to hope to remain positive which i have been helped as always by so many kind words. I try to draw a veil over my downess but it is not easy for me, i try not to get in a rut but is not so easy for me. I try to beat my bad times but it is not easy and i would love to be able to cope better and not beat myself up and be liked but it is not that easy well it is not for me. I really appreciate all of your kindness I have never been loved by so many i tend to dwell on those who hate me i welcome positive ways as to how others cope i dont think it is just useless old me. i have had a bad throat and cold since i dont know when and my immune system is just useless atm and these things dont help let alone with arthur and his ways it is not a competiton as we are all different in arthurs symptoms and how we cope with it .ps to one of you i am real person with real feelings i do exist in reality and have actually met some peeps from ac forum and i hope you find a man soon i hope you all have a smashing weekend

Hi, It can be the hardest thing of all, to get over or out of depression, especially when you're feeling ill and in pain. :(

I suffered from depression for a long time before arthur came. I think someone told me once that the best thing to do is to accept that you are down and that is horrible, but it won't last forever and if you hang on the darkness lifts.

For me, I find just making the effort to do the things I would normally do, housework cooking, reading, whatever the routine is, I try to follow it. Eat at mealtimes. Just an act really, but the act becomes reality after a while. I'm not perfect I don't always manage it. I shout at my husband, spend half the day in bed, blame everyone else.

I really wish I had some pearls of wisdom to give you, a majic answer. I am so very sorry for your being so down on yourself, I'd love to say something more positive. I hope things soon start to feel better and brighter. I send my very best of feel good thoughts, and love to you, Love Suexxx PS So many people hear can't be wrong, they all love you.

    Dear Chrisov

Lovely to hear from you again and especially on a positive note. It is easier for some people than others as you say, but you try and do not give up and you are not beaten and if you are, not for long. Keep on, keeping on. You know who supports you on here and that will not change. If you start on a downer, let us know, like you do, which is a good start, as it is good to talk and you will get positive thoughts and vibes back every time to help you on your way through it. Guaranteed. :)

You give out much on the forum too and we notice when you are not around. We all work and pull together. Dwell on those that love and look out for you as they are by far the majority. Forget the minority - they are few and far inbetween.

We all believe in you, even if you do not believe in yourself yet.

Love and happy vibes being sent over your way,

    Elna x

    Hi Chrisov

I like the title "unbeaten" because it shows that you are winning the battle. I'm sorry to hear that you have had a nasty cold and sore throat. On top of the arthritis, that is enough to make anyone feel down.I hope you are feeling better now.

Let's hope that the weather will improve soon as a bit of sunshine makes us all feel better, I think.

    With very best wishes,

    Joan :D

    Hi Chrisov
    Well done you.
    Unbeaten is the word!!!
Wish I could make you beleive you are loved :)
Anyway I hope the cold/virus goes away soon and you pick up physically :)
So far I HAVE had a busy weekend.
It has been v good - my sis in law passed her driving test on friday so we went for a celebratory curry, then yesterday we all (11) of us went to Hungarian 'do' in Stoke and I ended up doing the hokey cokey and the limbo (after a fashion!!!!). My knee is killing me this morning - but it is MEMORIES fior my kids I think!!! Today I have to act not hung over (polenka - have you tried it?) as hubby's friends are here for Sunday Lunch.
How is Charlie doing? How old is he now?
Yes I agree someone on here has a big problem and it's not you!!!!!
Maybe we should all stop getting wound up by her and just not reply??
    Love
    Toni xx

Hi, I'm new on here also but have read your posts. I too have suffered with depression and the only thing that kept me going was carrying on with the normal everyday activities even tho it felt like dragging myself through treacle. I've been to some pretty dark places and once the depression did start to lift it was quite frightening to remember just what sort of a state I had been in. Some people can be very cruel but I can see that you have lots of support here and people who care about you. Try to push on and hold in your mind that things will get better.

Take care and don't keep it all in

    Hi Chrisov
Love the title of the thread. It says it all! All the things that life has thrown at you and you are still not beaten! Well done. The harder it is for you the harder you have to work to overcome it and yet you do it time and time again! Well done.

    Sue
You always offer so much support to everyone and yet you have your own battles to fight too. I hope you also share when you are down and allow us to try and help you back up.

There are so many on this site that not only cope with the pain and frustration of arthritis but the black hole that depression brings with it. I wish you all the strength to battle with those demons and arthur too.
