    Hi John

I am sorry to hear that you are having pins and needles symptoms. I am a little bemused because you say that if you prick the skin with a needle you have no feeling - does this not mean that you have a numb sensation.

This numbness/pins and needles may well be coming from your spine - have you been diagnosed with RA of the spine? I really would suggest that you get to see your gp/rheumy/specialist soon and relay to them what you have said on the forum. If you have numbness I feel you should not delay in getting advice quickly.

    Best wishes
    Elna

    Hi again John,

Thank you for your pm message too. I really think you should call your surgery and don't let them fob you off with, "we have no appointment" etc. You tell the receptionist that you are getting numbness in your limbs and I doubt, she will turn you away, without an appointment. If she does, then phone PALS and get them on the case for you.

Unfortunately sometimes we have to fight for our rights and you have a right to see someone in the medical profession very soon regarding your back which is causing numbness and pins and needles. I am sure you do feel listless and have no get up and go. so would I if I were you and I would also be worried.

I am sorry that your wife is getting fed up of you going on but perhaps she could help you to get an appointment. You cannot carry on like this, without getting some guidance as to what is exactly going on with you.

I know is it easy for me to say to you what you should do, but I feel quite worried about you.

    Best wishes,
    Elna

    Hi John,

I just want to reiterate what Elna's said, you need to be seen by your GP or Rheumatologist asap - sometimes we have to be a nuisance in order to be heard.

Hope you get sorted very soon.

Good news, John, I was worried about you after reading your message. I hope you feel a little happier now too. Please do not let them forget about getting that asap appointment for you. :)

Please let us know how you get on. Remember to stay strong during your appointment and tell him how it is for you. Don't take any nonsense from him will you  :lol:

    Cheers!
