How does Spondyloarthritis progress?

I have been diagnosed with Spondyloarthritis (caused by crohns disease) in my lower back. I also have pain in my knees and ankles and in the last week or so at the base of two of my toes. I also have Oesteoarthritis in my left wrist.
It didn't occur to me at the time of the rheumy visit but now I am wondering if the pain in other joints are likely to be Spondyloarthritis or could it be something else?
Also I was told that my xray shows a straighter than normal back. Is this the Spondylo? How is this arthritis likely to progress? And whats the worst case senario?
The reason I am asking is because it has been suggested to me by my plastic surgeon that my wrist should be fused. Not sure how I can cope with that as well as plenty of pain in other joints. My back hurts 24 hours a day in varying degrees.

Hi Sorry about your illness, I have OA in my neck and spine but I think if you ring the Help line they will send you information about this problem and talk to you. I've found them very helpful. Also, someone with the same condition may be along in a while and be able to help you more.
I hope you find all the information you need . Its funny how you always think of what you want to ask when its too late, I know the advice about a list of questions to take with you, but when you get a diagnosis you don't expect, its not possible to prepare . Do you have a rheummy nurse or good GP? They could help you. I know whatever, it is a shock and it takes time. I send my best wishes and love Sue0
