    Hi Toni,
Its not so bad now, but my neck is very painful. I noticed it when I looked out the window. I live in the middle of the country-side and I looked across the road and saw that the row of trees and field had a another behind it just the same, and then I realised that the trees hedges and fields all had duplicates. I had a bit of a headache and I felt a biit odd. I get migrains and often they have an aora, but not the same as this. I took medication which stops the headaches if I take it before they start, I did that and its better than it was. If its still there tomorrow I'll go down, to the GP, promise. I know that my neck can trap a blood vessal and cause this effect, but its quite scarey and I couldn't drive to the doc as its 5 miles of country lanes. :!: :? Love Sue I also have an eye condition that causes strange visual effects, called astigmatisum.

    Hi Sue,

I have a lot of eye problems, but not the double vision thing. I shouldn't leave it if there isn't major improvement by tomorrow. It could well be the visual disturbances that go with the migraines but don't take chances as it could be something they can sort. I hope it all settles and you are back to normal very soon. Luv Cris x

Please don't worry, anyone. Astigmatism is when the eye muscles don't focus properly like you optian said, the lens is the wrong shape. Double vision happened to me when I developed astigmatisum late in life in the other eye and so my eyes were telling me confused messages. When I had my new glasses about 6 months ago, the ghosting as it was then went. This afternoon it seemed to come back only worse than ever. Now its barely there. I paniced as I know what it could mean and being alone and a migraine comming on worried me. But even if its better tomorrow, I have an appointment on Monday with my GP and I will tell her. If its still bad tomorrow, I will go as an emergency! :) Funny eyes, as well arther run in my family = also migraines. We lke to get value for money from the NHS!!!! :D Love Sue

sue perhaps the answer .all my yrs of an eye that goes to sleep on its own
i only learned that i had astigmatisum being fitted for contacts.
i found it hard to get my helmet on with glasses so went into contact lenses.
did u ever have a lazy eye,the 1 that goes to sleep when ur tried :?: didnt relise it was the muscle behind the eye. debs.

Sue - It could very well be related to your migraines. I get alot of migraines and sometimes have double vision with them.
I also have arthritis in my neck and occasionally get vertigo and feeling a bit dizzy first thing in the morning. Can't remember about double vision though.
I have amblyopia (lazy eye) in my right eye had it all my life and not known this alone to cause double vision.
Sounds like I'm falling apart.:lol:
Seriously...best to get it checked out though to be on the safe side.

    Hello,
Thanks for all your concern. This morning I'm fine and the double vision has gone. I'm seeing my GP on Monday, and I will talk to her about it. I have spoken to the option and she thinks its related to the large site difference between my 2 eyes and the fact that the prism on my reading glasses isn't working - as I forget to put them on. . Verifocals are fine for just walking round and reading the odd thing, but the stronger lenses in my reading glasses are different and have prisums to correct my site the only thing is I've always worn glasses and I forget to change them when I read and end up looking through the wrong part of the glasses.

I think it was a combination of the migraine aora and wrong glasses. Love Sue
