:( I have oa but have other forms of arthritis as well. I am in agony with my (L) shoulder went to dr yesterday she said as I had slightly banged my arm bumping into a door this had accexerbated the arthritis. she gave me diazapam but i'm too scared to take em. every time I take a new tablet it causes me to have a fit(I have epilepsy as well) I don't know what to do.

We are moving in a month, my husband is down south trying to get things sorted I'm trying to pack but its a nightmare with only one arm.

wish I could get myself motivated but every where seems to hurt.

xx

    Hi
You could do without extra pain on top if moving house!!! With regards to the epilepsy, I wondered if you might be ok with the diazepam, as it is used to stop fits sometimes?? Just a thought. Have you spoken to your pharmacist about your problems with new medication fpr advice?
I`m sure you have done all the usual ice/heat things to try to relieve the pain in your shoulder, but wondered if they help for you.
I hope you have some relief from the pain soon and that the move goes well x

Hello, I'm not a medic, but I have worked as a care assistant with neuro problems and know that the nurses used to give rectel diazapam to stop fitting. I think it would be good if you could talk to the chemist or your doctor, maybe a quick phone call) and tell them your worries and ask.

I'm sorry you've hurt your shoulder, it must be very painful. It sounds as if the GP has given you the diazapam to stop muscle spasms. I hope you can get the medication sorted, and get some relief. I know it must be frightening to take medication, when you've had such bad experiences in the past. Can you have someone with you, who knows what to do if you have a fit when you take the first table? It may help to give you confidence.
    :) Love Sue

As nearlybionic says, 'have you spoken to your pharmacist?', best advice going, (and its FREE!)
