im wondering if anyone on here lives in the Manchester area and knows of any support groups or programmes that can hel people with arthritis. I have RA and i am finding it increasingly difficult to cope with day to day life feeling upset and angry and feel like i dont know anyone who understands and i have no one to talk to. i think it would help me come to terms with things a bit more if i met people who are in a similar position or had help from trained people on what can make life a bit easier.

thanks for your replies, i have looked on here and it seems the nearest place to go is wakefield, which is not close at all unfortunately. If anyone knows any more info please share!
    Thanks

I think there is a support group at Wrightington Hospital which is on the outskirts of Wigan i think this would be much nearer than wakefield for you. Wrghtington hospital is quite near to the M6 i think junction 27 but you would need to check. I have seen posts about this group so im sure someone with more details will be along soon or you could try ringing the hospital for more info. Hope this helps Carolyn x

Carolyn is right about a Self Help Group at Wrightington. If you look for a post on this forum on May 8th by Denpen - Denise - you will find all the information there.......Angel.
