i'm so annoyed. i had to cancel a rheumy nurse appointment a few weeks ago so phoned thyem and they rebooked it for today, 3rd june at 11.05am. so i got my mum to drop me off at hospital and she took sarah (my littlest one!) to a local park. but when i went to book in they told me my appointment was actuall on the 4th june at 10.30am
i wrote the appointment down while i was on the phone to bool it and even double checked before i finished the call, so i know i wrote it down right, but anyway even if i got the day wrong, even though i always see the nurse on a wednesday, the time is totally different. then she went on to say that its an hour appointment because it's the 1st time i've seen the rheumy nurse, erm no!!
so evetually i had to rebook as i can't expect my mum to take me again tomorrow as she had cancelled plans to take me. so i've rebooked it for 24th because i already have an appointment with hand surgeon that day, so i know it is the right day!

anyway, i've already had problems with the hand surgeon appointment this week. i got a letter telling me my appointment was on 22nd june, this was a few weeks ago, the last week i got a letter saying that they had to change my appointment from the 22nd to the 10th, all good, then last weekend i got a 3rd letter confirming my appointment on the 24th? erm, i was confused! i rang the clinic and they said that my appointment is on the 24th, they obviously forgot to tell me they'd changed it, again!
it seems to me they are slightly disorganised.
so any way, even though i really needed to see thew rheumy nurse as my neck has become very stiff, i now have to wait!
grrr! moan over!

    Hi Sue,

there is nothing more annoying than when you get your self geared up and they say Oh its next week, month or year! I got to the point now that I ring couple of days before to check! I don't have the best memory and haven't phoned about my appointment tomorrow........ I don't mind that one being cancelled!

I hope they will at least sort you out when they do see you and the 24th isn't too much longer I guess? take care, Cris x

Hi Sue, I know how busy these people are but they could have tried to slot you in. Its a pain when this soort of thing happens. Some times its a great effort to get to the hospital for appointmens and your offten dependant on others to help you get there.
    Hope your feeling better soon

thanks, i came away thinking it was me that was going mad or stupid!
i know i had the right time and date, after all the time they said was totally different and the fact the receptionist kept telling me this was my 1st appointment with the rheumy nurse, thats the bit i couldn't understand!
oh well enough complaining now, i just wish they hadn't looked at me like i was lieing or insane!
