i'm on mtx tablets, sulphasalazine, amitriptyline and zomorph and i have such a dry mouth!
i drink plenty but nothing seems to help, is this normal? or does anyone else have this problem?
i'm finding it really uncomfortable and even straight after a drink it doesn't go.
any ideas?

    Hi Sue,
I'm on amytriptilline too and I get a dry mouth. It's a side effect of this drug (don't know about others) but it is annoying.

I'm on Tramadol and Gabapentin and the dry mouth I get with those is awful. I need to carry water all the time. Sometimes it can only be five minutes before I need it. Since the Gabapentin was started it's got worse.

i'm glad i'm not alone! it's got worse recently. i'm thinking of buying loads of ice lollies to see if that helps? or maybe sucky sweets or chewing gum? i just hate the feel of my dry mouth.
