Hi all,
Has anyone see the article on the Daily Mail site under Science, talking about the research going on with root of hydrangeas in connection with auto-immune diseases. Interesting! Please, please let it work .... and be proven quickly .... amen.

Hi Joy,
It's an account of some research that is going on at the moment trying to develop a drug from the roots of this plant. There's some way to go yet, but hopefully it will help when it's complete.
Hopefully nobody will mind if I point you to the article.
Google Daily Mail, take up the first option and find the article - think it's probably in the 'other news' list now. It's an interesting article.
After all, Digoxin, for heart problems, is made from foxgloves. So hopefully it's possible with this.

Hi Jeannie
It does seem uplifting when you read things like this. But then, how long into the research are they, how long then will it take for trials, then how long to get the medical fraternity to accept it if it is cheap enough, that is, to give it to us. Sorry to sound negative, but the end of the day, it all comes down to money.
This is one of the reasons my DIL is so very poorly now. TIme was lost trying to get very expensive treatment passed through. Who is going to pay sort ofthing.
There has been research on taking fluids from an affected arthritic joint, treating it and then re-injecting it back into the joint, Something to do with the anti bodies. Perhaps someone out there has read about this and can enlighten us.
