Hi
Last night we had a talk from the physio lady who does accupunture at the NHS clinic that she works in. She talked about accupunture for arthritis, it was really informative she explained all about accupunture and the yin and yang, OA is the yin (thats me) and I think she said you would get about 2 treatments for that but for RA patients its the yang and you would get about 10-20 treatments. For anyone who can get referred from there consultant or Rheumy. I would think its definately worth a try as it cant seem to do you any harm and if it works thats great, isnt it!!!
The group that I go to is run by Arthritis Care and it is held within the grounds of Wrightington Hospital, Wigan. and is easy to reach by most people because its just off the M6 at Standish. but if you want details of a group near you or want to set up a group near you contact Gill Laidler Tel: 01924 882150
Email: gilll@arthritiscare.org.uk
Personally I would E-mail because I rang and left a message the first time I tried to contact them but didnt get a reply.
Denise.
