Enbrel and hospital visit

Hi, Im currently taking enbrel I am wondering if it is safe to visit a patient in hospital who has mrsa hospital says the mrsa is nothing to worry about and they actuall had it before they went in (so therefore have been in contact with them prior to this anyway) I cant find any info on this so if anyone knows I would bevery grateful or if you could advise me where to phone for advice

    Sorry I can't offer any advice. I just wondered if you'd rung the ward your friend is on and spoken to a nurse on there. If not it might be worth a try.

    Hi Stacey, When you are on these types of drugs your immune system is low and your body more susceptible to catching things. It may be a good idea if you do go to the hospital you make sure you follow the rules with mask and apron. You should contact the Rheumy nurse and ask them or talk to enbrel home care this is the phone number for them 0845 601 2816.
