Hi there, Just had arthroscopic left knee and synovectomy and bakers cyst removal. Anyone know the recovery period please? I have an automatic car so when can I drive too? Thanks xx

    Hi Tam :D

    Hope you are doing ok. I have had three arthroscopies and none of them took that long at all to get over, probably a few days. Everyone is different though. With the driving, again, everyone is different but I would say when you feel confident enough.

    Hi Tam,

    I can only echo Elna, except I had 1 for each knee and was back to driving in a week, however I was 19 and in them days very fit....... What happened! :D I hope you make a good and speedy recovery and that it has really helped you. Cris

    i had a synovectomy last year the recovery period is 12 weeks,hope this helps and you have a speedy recovery ,TC and GL

    Hi Tam.

    I had a synovectomy back in the mid 90's. Recovery period depends on you really.

    One bit of advice i wish i had followed back then.

    Make sure you keep that leg moving through it's full range all the time. Do not allow it to fuse like mine did through sitting around too much and not doing the Physio like i should have.

    You will have a quicker recovery and a better future if you do this...
