Confused!

Doesnt take much!

I have had o/a for about 5 years.Not been to bad until a fall on both knees in march.

Been in contant pain ever since,i was supposed to have had 6 weeks of psysio before seeing the knee consultant again fri.They could not agree what was wrong,1 said torn lig,another a flare up of the o/a,so i am back at the hospital fro and have really done nothing.

My doctor gave me naproxen,i was on it 3 weeks,didnt really help with the pain and made me feel sick so i stopped taking it and am just taking normal pain killers.I have also not been to work for a month as i cant sit without being in pain for more than an hour.I am sure they think i should be back now and keep going on about i dont have much sick pay left,its so hard when you cant SEE the pain.

My question really is i am not sure what to say when i go hospital fri,he said if the pysio doesnt work they will look at injections,at the docs on wed do i ask for pain killers?I just dont know what to do!Feel so stupid as it is that i can burst into tears cooking the dinner because i dont know which leg to stand on to ease the pain.

hi, sorry i can't help much, the dr's obviously need to sort it out though. it's so frustrating when no one knows whats wrong, it took my rheumatologist nearly 8 months to decide i actually had RA, then over a year on it's still not very well controlled, so understand you frustration and pain.
i'm sure someone will be on here soon, hopefully they might be able to better advice you.

i can understand why u keep bursting into tears the pain is bad and u feel frustrated as u want it sorting it is a bit of guess :? work when they r working what is best 4 u trial and error some times as what will work 4 one person wont 4 the next tell the doctor everthing then he can decide what to try next tell him how bad it really is dont let work stress u this will only make things worse good luck hope u sorted soon
