hi,well ive been to the gp this morning.
he says theres not much they can do about the oa in my jaw so he's upped my amptripyline to 50mg.He said dont talk to much  cut my food into smaller pieces so not to chew to hard.
he's sent a note to my rhymy asking for test results from my bloods & mri scan.As he's not recieved them.
he's also contacting pain clinic to ask them to push forward my appointment. he mentioned putting me on gabitan(sp)but then changed his mind saying that the pain clinic will proberbly change all my meds when i see them.
the trips to the loo & my weight gain he reacons is water retention caused by the ibuprofen,& to top it off my BP is borderline high.
but it looks like hes leaving it all upto the pain clinic to sort out.so roll on appointment.he did say to ring in 2 wks if i'd not heard anything.so round & round i go chasing my tail. debsx

HI Debs
Well is certainly sounds as though he HAS taken you seriously
Hope the change in meds helps and the attempts to bring apts forward.
To me this is all really popsitive.
Hope you feel better soon.

Hello, Its a shame your GP can't help with painkillers, but it looks as if he wants you to get specialist help and dosn't want to start you on something that isn't right for you. It must feel nice to be treated seriously, rather than just being left in the dark. Hope you feel a bit better now. Love Sue0

hi sue & toni, yes it feels a bit better know that he's taking me serioulsy & pushing the appointments forward, but i was a bit disappointed that i couldnt have any more pain relief.
lets just hope the extra 10mg of amptrip is enought to knock me out tonight.
i laided there last night my eyes were so droopy but never really dropped off for more than 2 hrs.
im off to the loo twice for every cup of tea i drink,i could stop taking the ibuprofen but thats even less pain releif for me.& its hard enough to cope with the normal pain without the ears too
so as i said still chasing me tail.
hope your both doing ok,debsx0
