Anyone else with RA in their neck?
I keep getting bad headaches and really painful neck. Usually I'll have done something to set it off but not today.
Any suggestions on shifting the headache? If it get really bad the morphine gets wheeled out and I'd rather avoid it.

Hi I am struggling with my neck at the moment and am awaiting rheumy appt. My gp has diagnosed cervical spondylosis due to my lupus and RA. I have to say it is by far the most painful joint to flare. I have also been given morphine. I haven't got any useful tips other than supporting your neck and heat. I wanted to reply to your post though, as I understand having the pain but wanting to avoid the painkillers. Do you take muscle relaxers as well? I was advised to rest the neck in a soft collar and to try pain relieving gels. However if you have RA then I am sure you are familiar with most techniques. Hope it improves for you soon. If you find something that works, please let me know!!!!!!
Take care
