Hello.

I've just been to see the GP again re my certificate. Shes given me one for 3 months, but would have made it much longer. I just feel like being a bit optimistic! :) .

She has referred me to the Pain Managment Clinic at the hospital, so I'll be going back again. Different hospital this time,  I've heard about them and some people seem to find them quite helpful, anyway, I think its well worth trying out. The only thing is, I have to take someone with me incase I can't drive home and so as its school holidays, I'll have to ask my long suffering husband! :? Anyway, at least I'm not being left to stew! :D Love Sue

    Hi Sue,

Its something to try and mine has more success than not. I have had a few jabs in my neck and lumber and the neck ones have worked a while, they are now wearing off but they were done back in April so they have been good. The lumber was a different kind of jab and not as effective but did help for a few days. I hope you find it of some good and it comes round soon. Luv Cris x

I have mixed feelings about my Chronic Pain Clinic. They prescribed tablets that made me feel worse. Although I saw a dr the first time, my next appointment has come through for early Sept, and I shall not be seeing the dr. So there won't be any action there. All they do is report back to your consultant and gp and they do the necessary injections if necessary.

All I got from the Pain Clinic dr was a few sarcastic remarks about my weight and height.

I came away feeling very upset and felt it was a waste of time, but that was just my experience.

    Hopefully you will do better

Hi, Thanks for all the support. I'm not expecting miricles, but I feel if I don't try it I may miss something that could help. If its horrible or dosn't work for me, I can stop going. My neck and back have been a bit nasty for a few weeks now, and my shoulders are joining in! I don't want morphine yet, so I'll give this a try.

I'm sure my next visit will be quite positive. When I tell them that I haven't taken the pills, they will probably throw me out. Now that's positive.

I must seem as though I am always moaning, but it seems that you just get to a point when nothing seems to make you comfortable.
