Hello - Another vote here for no supplements. I think it is a case of if it works for you go with it. For me, I try to eat as much fruit and veg as possible so (hope) I'm getting all the vittys and stuff from that. I used to take Glucosamine and a vitty with iron - but gave them up a month or 2 ago and hand on heart no difference.
    best wishes

    Hi
Not sure if it helps or not but I've heard Rosehip is supposed to work. You can get tablets, I tried them but don't work on oa very well and they are pricey. I'd check with the Dr. before trying any supplements just to be safe.

    Hi
My grandmother sweara by rosehip. It is pricey but apprently it is fantastic. I was thinking about getting some but at the moment still having investigations dones so dont want it to affect results etc.
I always wonder if I had to stop taking the supplements would the problem come back and if so would I need to take them forever!?

If supplements 'cured' arthritis, we would all be on them. I think that between us we have tried just about every combination going.

All I take is a multivit for my general health from Asda, same quality and contents as the more expensive ones but thereagain I'm a cheapo, and that's it except for my prescribed meds.

We are all different, but whether what you try helps or not..............

    Hi
Im afraid i agree with the others on this one. I think I must have tried everything as family and friends always drive me crazy until I agree to take the latest 'wonder cure all supplement' I refuse now because I have spent a fortune on them and nothing works. the only thing I do take is glucosamine. It doesnt make any difference to how I feel but lots of doctors agree that it does help the cartilage in your joints. I also take calcium because I have just been diagnosed with bone thinning and the rhematologist suggested this. I do eat healthily and like fruit and veg and yogurt so I think I get enough vitamins etc. If you have a healthy diet Im not sure you would derive much benefit from additional supplements other than glucosamine, but everyone is different and maybe someone will post that they have reaaly been helped by something.
Good luck whatever you do anyway

I have started Rose Hip capsules and Turmeric. If you look these two items up on the internet, you can find out about the benefits yourself. I have checked with my local Hospital Pharmacy and they have given the all clear. You have to take care what you take with the MTX but the two I've mentioned are ok
