HI all,
been AWOL for a bit as am struggling a bit having missed 3 weeks of MTX injections and also having a flare in symptoms! :x :x :x
I saw rheumy nurse 2 weeks ago and they decided to lower MTX dose - still not got any though  nor had my GP had the promised letter about the leflunomide when I saw her yesterday. She was not ahppy either!
Well .... after myu ringing up yesterday the wheels have creaked into motion, and I got home tonight to several messages asking me to contact Gp, as they have got the info now. Also a message from the rheumy nurse! I had been in for 24 hours but was out for 3 hours and everyone chose that time to ring!
So, hopeful that I might get my Leflunomide tomorrow (strange to be looking forward to taking yet more meds :? ) and that I may yet get an injection next week.
fingers crossed!

Hi Wonky
Hope tomorrow brings the meds you are waiting for. Fingers crossed that you are soon feeling much better.
Love
Vonski x0 -
thanks Vonski ....... only down side is they will take 4-6 weeks to work, but every day helps! so I am trying to keep positive.
off to the seaside tomorrow (on the train not a coach ) if I can get the meds sorted out early enough.
Hubby and dog have already got their bags packed in anticipation, so I better be up early and get everyhting sorted.
hope you are keeping ok?0 -
Hi Wonkey,
I hope they get them to you early and you can all 3 have a really nice day, has little legs got her bucket and spade ready? Slipper boy loves rock pooling so he will fly up and help her look for stuff but don't let him eat too much seaweed please.......
I really do hope they work quicker then you think they will and your soon feeling a lot better. Cris x0 -
thanks Chris,
Slipper boy is welcome if he can behave on the train as hubby has to use the same train for work so knows a lot of the guards. They are used to littlelegs, who loves trains, but two of them together   the mind boggles
I don't think we will be going on the beach (growls of discgust here from littlelegs) as we would need too much energy stopping her from chasing the seagulls (her favourite hobby!) and keeping her feet (and ours ) dry.
Will have to make do with ice-cream, do-nuts (I hope!!!!!!!) and lots of fresh air.
takeing my camera too, so might get some good shots - a good excuse to sit down for a bit too
sleep well when the employers let you!0 -
Hi Wonkey,
Ah but she will love her ice cream and soon forget she can't chase gulls, he said thats exactly what gulls are for.......... He will meet you there but the sheep said they'll come on the train with you but only if the 'documentary' people are filming again..... I do love that advert you know! They don't like ice cream but they love doughnuts.........
You have a lovely day and I am lucky just now, the sheep salon is closed and the employers seem to know mum ain't so good and are being quite well behaved....... x0 -
yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh I do feel better for that
First the good news:
Got the prescription for Leflunomide yesterday morning just before we went out for the day.
Took the first tablet today, and thankfully no bad effects today, so keeping positive.
now the bad news:
Although the phone message said that the rheumy nurse had sorted out with the delivery company to send me the lower dose of MTX the delivery company know nothing about it ....... and certainly won't be deliverying any on Monday. So, unles the MTX fairy calls, that means no MTX on Wednesday, for a FOURTH  week running.
so, I may be seizing up, but I can still laugh at things.
we had a fabulous day at the seaside yesterday. Out for hours, walked miles, but managed ok with my four-wheeled shopping trolley to hold me up even got fish and chips so that was a bonus!
Right .... let me see ......... only 35 minutes until I can safely take more co-codamol ....................0 -
Hi again,
I am so glad you enjoyed your self and I tend to be a believer in some payback pain is worth it!
I had to smile over your 35 mins......... I do that with the pregabalin now a days and starting to think I might see if I can take the s/r every 12 hours as well
The sheep managed to get off the train........ I hope they behaved but rock pool slipper boy said he couldn't come as he was in the bath yet again........... x0 -
I have to make a joke of all these pain meds or it really gets to me!
I have taken 4 doses of co-codamol today, although I haven't taken quite the maximum codeine I could have.
I hate how the stronger ones make me feel, so I checked with the pharmacist yesterday and am having on 8/500 & one 30/500 at a time. Seems to be working better and not making me so woozy either, so whatever works!
Slipper boy can come next time we go out ....... hubby laughed about the reference to the sheep in the advert - sadly I haven't a clue as I haven't seen it  ... but will look out for it now
hope you get some good sleep tonight - that alwyas seems to make such a difference0 -
Hi Wonkey,
You must keep an eye out for the add....... Its really good and at the beginning the sheep are all lined up to buy their tickets and one comes out from the back and looks round and she is the absolute image of my Stampy Feet...... Maybe she has been moonlighting?! They do have one very like the old lady as well but not quite cus she is going very grey now and has only got one ear........ :? The Spoilt Brat doesn't have a double either but eats anything has...... You apologized for rambling...... I think I should too!
I think I will have to sort out some rest in the day eh? I wish I had good doctors so much! Still maybe a good nights kip will help. x0 -
Hi Wonky
Good news great but then followed by the bad, will they ever sort you out  I really hope so and soon. Glad you had a good day and fish and chips too mmmm!
Love

Hello,
Nice to hear from you again. Sorry you've had such a bad time, but hope things soon sort out for you. Take care, Love Sue0 -
Hi Sue & VOnski,
good to hear from you both.
Hope you had ok days today, and that Chris is having a better day today.
I had an awful night - hardly slept, but surprisingly have ben able to keep going all today and still don't feel tired.
Do feel 'odd' though (hubby would laugh if he saw this, as he thinks I am often rather odd ) and maybe this is the Leflunomide getting into the system.
Tomorrow is another day, and the sun is supposed to be shining, so that might perk us all up a bit more. Will ahve to get my shorts out and brave the showing of my awfully white legs
have a good week everyone
hugs ((((((((((((())))))))))))))))))0
