How long for Enbrel to start working - properly!

Hi guys, Ive been on Enbrel for 7 weeks now. It's had a fairly good effect but the results are more mediocre than I would have liked.

I responded quite early, within 2-3 weeks, and I do feel better than I did, but I was hoping for maybe an 80-90% improvement, rather than the 40-50% that Ive had.

My rheumy nurse has said as I responded early, that's a good sign, and that I'm bound to see further improvements, but it just takes a while. I am grateful to see some changes, but greedy for more :)

Anybody's thoughts and experiences in the matter would be most welcome. Thank you.

    Hi

I have been on Enbrel for 3 months. I didn't see any imporvement for about 6-7 weeks. I feel I am slowly improving. I have been told it can take up to 12 weeks to see any improvement. I guess everyone is different how quickly they respond to the drug.

    Hi

Thanks for the reply. Yes Ive heard that too - it can take 12 weeks to see anything at all, so i guess I'm lucky to see changes after a few weeks. I just feel like the improvement has come to a standstill. Maybe its a bit stop/start.

Glad to hear you feel youre improving albeit slowly - gives me encouragement :)

    Thanks again
