HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open. had a busy day.
took tablets, came upstairs for a quick look on here before bed, and have a raging attack of hiccups.
Normally bad enough for me (I don't do elegant lady-like ones but belting great elephantine ones
) but tonight my shoulder and neck are really sore, by knees are killing me after being abused all day, and various other bits of me are battling me for divorce. :x
So .... every time i hiccup I don't know which bit of me to clutch first :? :?

I am trying to stifle them so I don't wake hubby up, but after 40 mins this is getting to be a joke!
any tips?

Hi Wonky,
Slipper boy said he will pop up and jump on you a few times when you least expect it........ He can't promise to not wake your hubby either......
I always hold my breath till I feel light headed and though I might have to do it a couple of times it will usually work......
I hope they soon pass and don't try the drinking a glass from the wrong side or while being held up side down as it just drowns you and you have to cough and hic at the same time...... Memories of an older not so nice brother!x

Hi Wonky
If you're still around I think you've probably tried holding you breath, how about drinking a glass of water upside down or putting an something frozen down your back. Can't think of anything else, hope you get rid of them soon.
BOOOOOOOOOO!
Love

bless you both!
just the thoght of Slipper boy coming up to 'sort me out' seems to have done the trick - ably assisted by the shock of your loud BOOOOOOO Vonski!
whispering here ...y i p p e e ...
might just get to sleep now!
thanks guys!0 -
Hope you get a good nights sleep. Didn't know that about the drinking water bit Cris.

Hi Wonky,
Sorry he is on his way........... send him over to Vonski cus he owes her a slurp as well..........
He got me today, I was determined to make my legs work so stuck a cd on and decided though I couldn't do my normal work out I would just dance about a bit....... He came in behind me and jumped up but instead of landing in my back his paws landed either side of my hips...... I dented the ceiling cus I really thought I'd been grabbed from behind by someone!
Hope you sleep well. x0 -
I can just imagine your shock
As for slipper boy, don't you worry .... he will be put to work! He can finish hoovering the bits I missed, and then I might even send him up to the racecourse with my dad (who is coming for the local race meeting tomorrow - oops, that will be today now!)
Oh, and I'll get him to wear out littlelegs so that she doesn't keep getting under my feet every time I move. hang on ......instead I'll have two of them ..... bad move
I'll send him on to Vonski ofterwards.
you sleep well too!0 -
Thanks do I get little legs too
Love
Vonski x0 -
If you'd like her ....... she really is quite well behaved these days .... although you don't have horses do you? she doesnt get on with them .... or cats ....... or people wearing reflective jackets ........ or postmen ............ or cats .............. or (unfamiliar) dogs .............. or cats .............. or geese!
so not a long list ........ did I mention cats?!0 -
no pets at minute, not even a goldfish
Keep asking for another dog, or cat but neighbour is allergic to cats.
I think slipper boy is on his way, so anytime you want to send little legs feel free

The easiest way to get rid of hiccups is to just relax, they go away on their own.
The only other way is a zap.works every time.

I've heard that a tea spoon of vinegar works but i wouldn't want to try it though lol x0

Hi,
A cure for hiccups is either eat a pickled onion or suck on a slice of lemon. Seemingly the acidity does the trick. Always works for me.

Hi Wonkylegs
So glad you have cured your hiccups! Certainly plenty of possible cures been sent in. Will make a list of those.
When I first...read...your posting that you.... couldn't get rid...of them, made me think... of the guy who was on tv....recently. He had had hiccups......for several years.....anyone see that.
So.....I'm glad your cured.....but a good big shock...booooooooo.....shout worked for a girl I worked with some years ago.
