My wife has arthritis, but unfortunately she tripped recently and has broken her shoulder and arm(Humerus)
They say it will take up to 6 months for it to completely knitted and in full use.
So I'm head cook and bottle washer in our house for the next 6 months.

    Hiya Ron!

How you doing, stranger! Long time no hear from you on here!
Welcome back or are you not staying long!:lol:

I am sorry to hear about your wife. Where did she trip - on an uneven paving slab or at home? Wow, that is a very long recovery time.

Nothing new there then, being head cook and bottle washer aye?

Hope you have had your hols for this year as I don't suppose your wife will want to gallavant about with her arm all strapped up, which I presume it is at the moment.

You had better look after yourself as you have big commitments at the moment.

    All the best
    Elna
The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

    Hi there

First of all, sorry that your OH has such a nasty injury. Let's hope it mends more quickly than 6 months.

How are your culinory skills, are you a Gordon Ramsey? You will probably be swearing like him before the end of 6 months. You don't say where you have any children If so, are they old enough to help?

Hope you have some family near to you aswell. It would be good to have some help from them. Also, do you have a full time job also? If you do, then you deserve a medal.

We shall endeavour to devise a special one for you. It's not easy looking after an invalid, very frustrating for you both, but I do hope you get into some form of routine to make the days go easier. Just remember, every job doesn't have to be done in one day.

Again, good luck and if you have time between all the cooking, ironing, dusting, hoovering etc etc. give us a few lines on here to tell us how you are doing.

Ask your wife to carry the frozen meals on her arm from freezer. Pretend that a cold compress is good for it.

I think I'll be getting a forearm smash with a plaster cast if I keep going. Hope it heals soon as I can't run.
