cortisone injections

Does anyone know why you are only allowed three cortisone injections?

    Hi Godzilla,

    Welcome to the site, I hope you find it useful.

    Is it really 3? I have a lot more than that, a huge amount more but they do tell me I can't have my neck done again for a while. I think its to do with the steroid and bone density issues? I must remember to ask when I go for the review on the last lot in august and also how many you actually should have....... Take care, Cris

    Hi, When I had my wrists done they did it twice, and said they could do 3 a year, but as they didn't last long, but worked well when first done, they gave me surgery on my carpel tunnel. Just getting over the first one and its great. :D Apparently too many injections weaken the tendon?? Love Sue
