I am going to see a Rhumey doctor on the 8th but my voice has come back in the last couple of days so i bet they dont listen to me as its back. Hi Alicia
I was going to say Colin is your man, but other people have throat problems too. I am a choker!!! A good choker - I can choke on fresh air or inhale a bit of spit and then I can't breathe. Had the camera a month or so back - all ok just like you.
Apt letter come today to go back but can't see the point....
Colin should be able to help you and I know lots of us do have throat probs - you are not alone
take care

Thanks Toni it does help to know i am not alone it makes me feel better ,there seems to be a lot more to this OA and RA than people think people say to me" have some honey and vinigar you will be right in no time thats what my grandma takes and shes fine", if only. As you say you reach a stage of why bother going to the doctors they just say yes it is the OA take a pill. Sorry for the moan I hope you get some answers soon all the best . Sandra (alicea)0

I have a functional voice disorder, completely unrelated to my RA, that causes my voice to go very suddenly. I've had it since I was 17. The first time I lost it was for 3 months. Since then I've lost it for days or weeks at a time. I had speech therapy to teach me how to speak without stressing my vocal cords or larynx.
If they didn't see anything ask for a referral to a speech therapist. They may be able to help you cope with it, and make your voice stronger.0 -

Thanks for the advise I will ask for a referral if they dont sort it out , i dont know if it is only me, but it makes me feel out of things not being able to talk it is suprising how often the phone rings or you need to make people understand what you are saying in shops and things , it is ok this week just a little weak thanks again for advise ....alicea0
