Assessment criteria for antiTNF

I wonder can I ask, if anyone has gone through an assessment with a chest consultant. It was a very good consultation. He said he had to check for TB content in my blood and my body, especially the lungs (have already had a CT scan). He inspected me for vaccination marks. Apparently I had, years ago, a multi-needle injection - I remembered this to be a TABT jab, 'cos I worked for an airline. Part of this is a TB vaccination. Has anyone been turned down because they've had one of these jabs. Be glad of any input.

Question 2: I'm sorry to be ignorrant, old-fashioned - computer illiterate, uncool! but what's a troll? It's mentioned on another site (musical) that I frequent (heavans what a posh way of putting it).

    Hi

I had an assessment with a chest physician before anti-TNF because I had been exposed to TB in childhood and didn't have BCG vaccination in my teens because my skin test was positive, even though I never had the disease myself, but had clearly produced antibodies from my exposure.

My repeat heaf test, (skin test), was positive again, but not to the extent that I was refused anti-TNF.

I have now been on two anti-TNFs, without any chest problems.

A troll is a mythical creature, mostly known in Scandanavia. They are chubby, not too pretty and the toy ones in this country had long, straggly, brightly-coloured hair! I have one I bought in Copenhagen though and he is more like a Viking warrior with a Father Christmas beard.

Unfortunately it is a term that is now sometimes used to describe an unpleasant, or disliked individual, although I think it a very ignorant term to call anyone, but I saw it used by someone to refer to someone else on this forum and thought it inappropriate. Hope you didn't see it used like that too.

Thanks for the info, Kaz - appreciate it.
Oh, and thanks for filling me in about the troll. I thought that's probably what it was, just wanted to be sure. It was on another site. I can't stand folk being unkind to someone.
Don't get too hot and have a decent day.

Hi - I have not been assessed for anti-TNF so I can't help you there, but I thought I would answer your other question.
On the other forum I post on when we refer to a "troll" it is someone who posts on the board just to stir things up or get attention. This might be by including extreme views in their posts, personal attacks on other members, or ellaborate stories which aren't true. Ususally it is not somebody who is a frequent poster on the board, and it my be on a forum that actually ha no rellevence to them. For instance, a woman posted on one board about pregnancy, that she had given birth very prematurely. She posted daily updates on the baby througout the labour and birth and many other posters responded and got very concerned etc. Eventually someone had the courage to point out that there were a lot of inconsistencies in her story and she was revealed as a "troll".
These people need to get a life!
I have no idea what happened when somebody on this board was called a troll, I think it happened just as I arrived.
