Am not a techy but my hubby has a black curly bluetooth thing. You wear it round your ear and can walk and talk while the handset stays on the table. He has this for work so his phone is one of those PDA's but They might work with house phones.

It's amazing how many of these so called little things tend to be the ones we regret not being able to do anymore..
When I first posted some 6 months ago I was bemoaning the fact I can no longer thread needles as easy or hold them, being a patchworker it made quite an impact.
Other "skills we lose included being able to pop out the tablets from those foil covers,or if you popped them out then they would drop and roll under a cupboard or something.
Opening packets of biscuits or jars, the list is endless isn't it.as you say holding the phone too, when my carpal tunnel was bad my calls were very brief because of the tingles etc/

Hello We have a digital cordless phone, the keys are small to dial, the batteries go in the middle of conversations. In short, I don't like them! :( I know you can get all sorts of phones these days. Have you tried looking on the internet? These days, their must be something suitable for you. Love Sue

hi sue,iv got the same, small cordless phones.i can put it on speaker & hear the other person as my hands get sore holding it to my ear.
ive got 2,1 used to be upstairs but i got so fed up of being woken by calls when ive just got back to sleep that i moved it downstairs next to my chair.
this now serves a better purpose i dont have to get up to answer the phone(it used to ring off by the time i got to it)
if the batteriy goes i can used the other 1 in the same room.
now i dont hear it ring if im upstairs trying to sleep.debsx
