Hi all I posted on here some time back about my awful GP and his total lack of assistance with my OA, this might not work for all surgeries but this is my experience, I firstly didn’t go back to my old GP but I cycled through a few in the clinic found one in particular who was on the ball so stuck with him to see how things went, I also searched the web for advice for items on changing GP but didn’t find much that was of use, so in desperation I e mailed the surgery and asked if I wanted to change GP how would I go about it?, got a reply within a hour saying it’s not a problem they could it for me and did I have anyone in mind, I gave them his name and the name of a back up one they then e mailed me within another hour or so saying they had asked him for me and he would be happy to take me on and they had amended my records accordingly and that was it job done!. :D

Hey, what a nice story, at last someone gets treated with common sense, and things get done with the minimum of fuss. :D I'm really pleased for you. Love Sue

    Hi
I totally understand you wanting a change of GP, my GP was absolutely brilliant, then, unfortunatly he went off on long term sick before I was diagnosed with OA, since then its been a long long road of LOCUM`s now I have 1 that I do not like too much so I prefer not to go to the surgery at all. Anyway enough of my waffle good luck to you with your new GP I hope all goes well.

Sorry to hear your knees are in flare but good to know that a visit to your new gp was positive and hope the stronger meds kick in soon. :D
